@@lizlaws3227 Liz, they are both 24. This, in itself is no huge feat. I was 20 when I had my first, 21 eleven months later for my second. I went for my 6 week checkup and the doc said "see you next month." What shows me their level of maturity is that they made the decision, together, to move to Hawaii. Derik is continuing his education while Sarah works as a photographer. They've got their stuff together. They aren't welching off of mommy and daddy. Some people just know at an early age that having a family is most important to them. 💙💛💚💜🧡
Oh...and Jack is a very well cared after little boy. 💙💙💙💙💙
@@dawnmagee3354 I mean it kind of is, just because it IS harder to have a kid in your teens/ early 20s than in your late 20s/30s. I have been both "types" of parents, and it is immensely easier when you are older. I have more patience, more money, and more time. That's just my opinion from my experience of being both a young parent and older parent, though.
@@Starlight_16 there's a give and take with everything. It's to me the fact that they both have their crap together in a world where kids are eating laundry detergent and climbing up walls of milk crates.
Poor Sarah needs some sleep she's constantly yawning, I remember always being tired when my son was the same age as Jack. Awesome family I love the love in this family ❤️

I also yawn when something has drawn out my emotions or energy! I saw a really fantastic Holiday music performance & I loved it! But when I walked out of the theater eveyone I was with thought it bored me! I yawn when I workout! 😆🤣😂 It's actually the brain's response to a lack of oxygen & it's super easy to loose your breath when you aren't being conscious of it ❤
@@soda_pops9466 yeah theres a way better way to say that rather than implying that she’s stupid. She is jacks mom and knows what’s best. You have never spent a single moment with Jack, so giving your two cents opinion is honestly unneeded and truly unnecessary. They are both wonderful parents. Moms are ALWAYS going to be worn out, whether their baby naps or not, and whether he sleeps thru the night or not. That’s just the way it is. My son is 1 year and still doesn’t sleep thru the night. I have NEVER slept thru the night even while growing up. I always wake up at 3am. Some people are just wired differently.

I'm a relatively new subscriber so I hadn't seen the video where you guys spoke about OCD but I just wanted to say thank you so much for being open about it. I was diagnosed with OCD two years ago and it's something I've struggled with so much, especially with talking to people about it because a lot of people really just don't understand how hard it actually is. You're so inspiring, I'm so grateful I found you guys!

Hello, you two love birds. I came across your channel about a month ago while Derik was playing with Jack. I must say, you two are one of the best twin Souls I have come across in a very long time.
And, to top it off, baby Jack made his appearance. Baby Jack's expressions cracks me up. It's as if he already knows what Derik's going to do, before he does it.

I'm so happy you feel better. But when your not in a good place just remember it's ok. A lot of us struggle with anxiety and depression daily. And that's ok too. One day at a time and things will always get better. I promise. You have a beautiful wife and the cutest little boy. God has blessed you. Ya’ll are Addicting! You remind me of my kids. I think it’s awesome that you are smart enough to know that your parents are wise and even smarter to ask for their advice. I can feel the love coming straight out of my phone like a big old hug. Plus it’s fun watching Jack grow up so quickly. I raised a little blonde hair blue-eyed baby boy, and it brings back so many fond memories of motherhood back in the day. My baby boy is 50 now! Time truly FLIES!!

I never dated or had a relationship before I met my husband. I was 15 and it was his 16th birthday when we met. The moment our eyes met, I felt this electric jolt go through me. I went home that night and wrote In my diary: today I met the man I will marry.
We dated 7 years. He wanted to finish college. He graduated from the university in May and we were married in June. We’ve been together for 40 years, married for 33 years. I hope you guys have many, many happy years ahead of you. ❤️

I for ya my friend. I've been severe OCD, Depression/ Anxiety, PTSD and the kitchen sink 😅 DANG. It's a tough life but like I say on my weekly live shows on Wednesdays I know that it's one day at a time! I have 2 boys one who'll ve 13 soon and the other turning 11.....I almost died during both births and had Cancer and my eye removed during my second pregnancy 🙃 The world saves us every day!

I also have OCD and anxiety and it became worse after becoming sick with a chronic illness four years ago. This past year has been probably the most difficult for me, but I’m doing a bit better now and I’m so happy to hear when others are doing better too. I got OCD, too! That was because I got late diagnosys for my ADHD. Being medicated is actually amazing. I hope more people will leave their ego behind since I knew many people don't want to take the medications not for medical reasons. Simply because they don't want to be seen as disable. While in fact, being medicated helps me being able to create and build a business I kept failing behind before I got the proper diagnostic.

It’s so relieving to know that someone I watch has OCD as it’s something I’ve struggled with. I’d be curious on what medication/treatment plan you’ve done if you’re comfortable sharing as I’m still not where I want to be yet. 🙂
Same here, I'm on fluoxetine and have done therapy which has been working for the most part but I'd love to know how Derik is coping with and treating his OCD especially seeing as he's doing so well.. I think it's really important for people to speak openly about this issue because very few people actually understand it. Love these guys!

Derik... I have HORRIBLE OCD!!! Horrible... it effects my life in the most awful ways!!! I hate when people who like to clean joke about having OCD, cause that just isn't it at all!!! (I mean, don't get me wrong, I know that obsessive cleaning can be some peoples tick... but you know those people I am talking about... the ones that blame it on OCD but don't really have it or know anything about the scary thoughts and control parts of OCD)!!! So it is nice to hear someone talk about things out loud... it makes me not feel so weird about it all to know other people are dealing with the same thing and understand it all. So happy to hear that it has eased up for you... I need mine to get under control very soon. It has been spells thru my life, and right now is one of those times!!!

I had my graduation from college (it is different that we have in UK 🇬🇧)!! Also you guys have such a genuine relationship and your family is so sweet 🥺❤️ (I have a friend who also has ocd and he actually did an art project about it and his final look amazing it was “what if i fall” and he told he would do some of things that you said about your experience with ocd)
