I’m building a shed in my backyard this summer. It’ll be my home gym, which is currently in my garage. I’m 100% building one of these. Thanks for putting this on TH-cam.
Very good sir! You'd be surprised at how much weight those 2x4's can handle. We build houses out of them. If anything, I'd say the weakest links here are the wheels.
I was just thinking about your bar for the weights- I know you wanted to use a single length all the way across, but that was not feasible, however what if you could load more weights centered onto the trolley part itself, instead of hanging off the sides? Maybe it could be another short pipe mounted onto the trolley, perpendicular to the track, this way the weights would be centered and would lay flat on the structure you more or less have already created. Could probably get another 90 or so pounds on there without stressing the pipes on the sides, in fact that could serve as sort of a counter balance for the cantilevered weight.

Finally someone on TH-cam making some equipment you can actually use without dieing.good job bro.if I had room where I live right now I would build one of those suckers tomorrow since the leg press is one of the main pieces of equipment I miss from the gym which is still all messed up around here due to the covid bullshit.I am stuck doing squats every week lol.if you want a laugh and to see how to build shit the worst way possible check out matt nunan on here.what a joke, glad I found your channel I hope to be able to do some of your builds soon.I am a fabricator by trade and even though I don't work with lumber specifically I know good construction practices and there few people on here using them.wood is harder than steel to work with imo can't fill in gap's in wood with weld if the cuts are not perfect.hope to see more videos from you, good luck and god bless bro
Only time will tell, but you may need metal strips where the wheels ride to keep them from digging into the wood with a heavy load. The wood being softer than metal, it will have a bit more give,
Here's another video where I go in to detail on the measurements on the leg press: th-cam.com/video/GBzEGXI4FqM/w-d-xo.html

You did an amazing job! I want to build one myself. Do you have the measurements for the materials and step by step instructions????
Thanks, Just made a video with some measurements, hopefully that'll help th-cam.com/video/GBzEGXI4FqM/w-d-xo.html
Super excited to have found your channel! Thanks for posting all these build tutorials

Good idea with the extra pipe on the trolley. Will take a look at it tomorrow.

Please provide plans I need to make one too

Very nice job.👍
thanks for posting
Thank you i think i will build one.

Am I missing the actual plans for this?
Onto the wood if I would do the strength
Omg that's so cool
