There's something utterly hilarious about the idea of an immensely powerful villain joining the protagonists' team solely because one of them scares him so bad he's trying to avoid getting his ass beat.
Some could argue, but honestly, this feels like a better way to show power difference. It's one thing to simply kill the opponent, but overpowering him by such a degree that it makes him question his pride/worldview and awknoledge that your side is superior, is a whole new level of victory

It took extra long because the skies of Namek made the borders of Namek Goku kinda green, so I also had to correct the colors near the outline frame by frame

Makes you wonder how the Buu arc would have gone if Goku(mid) was there instead, preventing all the time wasting and stalling tactics with his more pragmatic style. The experiences in Namek (following the fact of having spared Vegeta's life earlier) taught him to quit the bs, and that kind of "no bs" mentality was needed to handle a challenge like the Buu arc.
Funny enough, Midku was the only Goku capable of soloing his opponent. It's crazy when you realize Nappa, Burter, Frieza, and Yakon are Goku's only solo wins in Z. Even Vegeta has more solo wins under his belt ☠️
