Hello. In the graphics settings tutorials, someone once said that you can only use DLSS effectively if you also use DX12. Anyone using DX11 has no significant frame improvements through DLSS. It is definitely recommended to use the DLSS Swapper (a small app) to use the latest version of DLSS. Unfortunately, MSFS only provides a very old version of DLSS.
@@gamesmore9169 I use the swapper and I get a very noticeable difference when switching between quality/performance etc with DLSS. I’ve not tried DX12 other than when I used the nvidia frame gen mod. But I’ll look into that

@@jingle1161 I know that I like to save camera views back there for longer flights. When the autopilot is on I can pop back there and look around. It’s nice but some people require a little too much detail there. Anything more than the aerosoft crj im happy lol
@@budgetflightsim ok I get it. I guess the performance hit is also not that noticeable when flying @30000ft. A toggle switch is a good idea. Personally I'd prefer all resources focused on cockpit/flightmodel and cabin as nice to have.
@@luck5179 honestly they get blurry when in 1440 or 1080 with DLSS. But when in 4K they don’t really blur up at all. The PFD can get weird ish around the speed tape but that’s it
Somethings wrong here. I only have a 3070 and I’m able to run the 8k version with max graphic settings and I still get 60fps while online and in flight
@@cocox9948 try lowering your texture resolution in your MSFS settings to one lower than you’ve got it now. Frees up a bunch of VRAM and doesn’t look very different if you move one notch down. That should help!
@@MrDawid yeah I’d imagine. It didn’t take long for me to install it, maybe 20 minutes or so. But I’d imagine that’d be the easiest way to get it back to default. All your liveries would still be there so you wouldn’t have to redownload them
@@SN57ONE I’m in 4K with DLSS set to “performance” and I’ve gone through and lowered some settings to lower GPU usage to allow my frame gen to work (lossless scaling). I’ll make an updated video on my settings soon, stay tuned
@@cptbaku6310 well a 3060ti is in my budget my friend, hence the channel name. But it does very very well for what it is, 4K and 60fps with frame gen and other lil tricks make it work for me
I found using AutoFPS helped smooth things around heavy hitter airports

i play on a i7-10700k, evga 3060ti oc and on 1920x1080 and it runs alright i mean with frame gen is much better but thats about it

Msfs 2020 is a cpu intensive game and depending on what cpu you have it bottlenecks because the game doesn’t really know to handle multi core cpus
I have 3070ti with 5600x and get low 30s in 4k version at 2560x1080 in the sky away from airports and cabin off. not sure how you get 60 odd ?

They just release this update V0 .12 .1 but the FPS still pretty bad on the exterior model

@ Not a 4090 not a 4080 but a 4070ti super. The 4070ti super delivers better performance then the 3090ti thats how strong it is.
