- Ok yeah, whatever, he’s not ABSOLUTELY perfect but he’s damn close!
The DR.DOOM is mos definitely going to go down as one of the best Mezco’s ever made.
It’s so DOPE to have a version of Marvel Comics greatest villain that is THIS good!

Very thorough review Wade. This looks great, didn't realize the 4 Horseman were involved in sculpting this.
Another solid review man. I do agree that the wire could be thicker for the cape, but also the discs are too large and the chest could be more defined.

Great review as always, Wade. Glad you love him. My only real complaint is that I wish he had rektangular eye slots on his classic face plates. But I'm a doom guy, as it stands, he's my favorite figure in my collection by miles. Possibly my favorite possession period.
I haven't been able to put Doom down since he came in a month ago! Such a great figure and still that's an understatement. Already in my Top 3 for the year!
One point I will bring up. At least on mine his left knee and elbow caps came undone so be careful on where you grab him when you pose him. But it is a easy fix and retains his articulation.

My only issue is that I wish the tunic tapered down more around the waist so his chest and shoulders look bigger. Other than that the figure looks amazing.

I mean I really do love Dr. Doom because he is definitely the most popular Fantastic Four villain of all time, However, I may try to get one of the Hasbro versions because cloth goods on figures are not my thing, Great review on Doom Wade.

Been waiting for this one Wade! WONDERFUL review! Lol. The only problems I have are the ankle articulation and the weird pink paint splotch that's on the right arm that mine came with. I'm glad I picked this Doom as my first Mezco.
On another note, Doom absolutely knows how to throw hands. In Christopher Cantwell's Doctor Doom series he fights Taskmaster in street clothes and helps him understand his place in the bigger picture. I would expect no less from Victor! Haha.

As much as Doom is the perfect figure for Mezco, I wish they’d stop doing the fully clothed figures. They need to take a queue from Barbie and reduce the body proportions so the clothes looks more natural and not like a toddlers Christmas jammies. Either that or just fully sculpt the figures.

I’m cool with them doing fully clothed figures when it makes sense. Like, maybe stay away from super stuff and stick to things that make sense for their aesthetic.

@@UnparalleledUniverse Just imagine if a figure was sculpted with the proportions of their fully clothed figures. It would probably look like a Teletubbie. 🤣 Their sculpts are usually so good and the soft goods, for all the joints they hide, create unnatural folds and seams and kill definition. A better blend of the 2 mediums would be ideal. Doom is a perfect example.

I sold all my ML's Doom figures to get this one and I don t regret it. He is bigger, beefier and the details are awesome. The tunic is also the right size , especially on the thighs.
But it's pricey...
I like your opinion on figures like this. I just need them to look and post well on camera. If they can do that, then it’s a solid figure for me and you killed it. Thanks!

the think about comparing him with the hasbro one, the hasbro one looks like a classic comic book doom and this one not, iMo he has to much details on the wrong places and i really cant stand the two seams on his dress. so, the mezco one is clear superior in point of being a action figur, but the look of hasbro doom beats him everyday.

Is it just me, or does he look like he needs panel lining or something? The armor to me looks likeita all just one solid color and like it's lacking something. Wonder if that's a non issue in hand

Almost got it, but the flaws it has are unforgivable! The tunic is stiched together to make a 3 piece tunic. I have never seen his tunic in anything but a one piece. That is absolutly rediculous, Next is the belt buckle, in most cases it forms a "D" or at least has 4 sides. Another case of not paying attention to the actual character. Lastly the colar. What the heck is even that? It just looks sloppy. Many may feel that these things don't matter, but for the price of this guy there are no excuses for these mistakes. Especially because they are all right in front, glaring at you. Huge dissappointment for someone who Dr. Doom is one of my favorite characters in all of Marvel.
This figure as a whole is really good looking, now something I feel is not only important when it comes to DOOM but really worth it is battle damage swappable limbs or clothes. But if I'm being honest I side with ML due to the design and proportions, but I do LOVE this head sculpt, those eyes are very haunting, thanks for the review WADE
Congrats on getting Doom. Im still waiting on Alter Ego Comics to ship mine. They told me Mezco told them there is an issue with their warehouse so there are delays smh. Meanwhile BBTS has had stock for a week plus now. Ah Mezco are u giving the smaller distributors the short end of the stick> Shame I say.

Legends is still better, the proportions are wayyyy way better, the cloth tunic throws the whole silhouette off with a bobble head to boot. It's very rare when legends beats high end figures but this was definitely one of those cases

Not sure the hype, I find Mezco figures odd looking. They look like the puppet masters. Can't quite put my finger on, maybe the weird body proportions or stumpy looking.

It’s a dude in a full on metal mask/helmet, of course it’s going to look big but it doe make sense
And the hood is tooo small
The photoshopped dark green almost black looks better too on the cloak.
Mezco messed up hard on this legend
I have been itching to get into this line. My primary collection consists of ML, DCUC and lately the Jada Toys Street Fighter figures. The biggest thing stopping me from pulling the trigger on Mezco is definitely the price. But after seeing this, the Fantastic Four set,Spider-Man, Iron Man and now Classic Captain America, I might just have to finally do it. But I'll tell you what, if Mezco releases a Classic Comic Book style THOR, I'll finally jump in!⚡️⚡️⚡️
Now, hear me out. I think the size of doom’s head could’ve been a bit smaller. I think he suffers from what shartimusprime calls it, BFHS lol or keep the head the same size but make the stature of the figure a bit taller or huskier. Just my opinions but amazing figure all around!
For the price I'd say this Doom was the best to, however the ML is still superior. The only advantage this Doom has is being able to sit while the cape is on him. Great review 👏
