that damaged adamantium head is sick! it looks great overall but I agree about the softgood suit, it needs some extra stitching or texture to keep it from looking too long underwearish.
4:16 my general ruling is if it’s attached to the rest of the suit like Batman’s it’s a Cowl if it’s completely detached from the suit like Spider-Man it’s a Mask so since it’s attached to Logan’s suit I’d call it a cowl
Wolverine has always been my favorite comic book character. Even though i prefer the look of the yellow and brown costume, (the mezco release left something to be desired and this release was much better), i do have and love this figure, as well as a couple other mezco versions. The face sculpts are amazing! Most wolverine figures seem to suffer from the bent claw problem, but my mezco figures have been nearly perfect!
I second that recommend, excellent release, tons of accessories and options. I think it's still available at original release prices (Mezco probably made a ton of them, considering what the original was going for).
The thick red belt and generic looking belt buckle is the classic look he sported from his first appearance until his Jim Lee redesign in 1991. Lee streamlined the belt and added the 'X' to the buckle when he ditched the rust colored John Byrne costume and returned Wolverine to the OG blue and yellow.
I had this Mezco One: 12 Wolverine Deluxe figure, I sold it, I'm getting more involved with 1/6 scale figures, I currently have the Mondo X-Men animated series version and I cannot wait for the Hot Toys Hugh Jackman Deadpool & Wolverine version!!! The Mezco wolverine deluxe version is number 1 in the 1/12 scale figures, when it comes to soft goods at 1/12 scale, Mezco is king!!! I'm glad you're getting involved with Mezco One:12 Collective, I must warn you though, you might get addicted to their figures!! 😝😝
I’m glad I picked him up last year. Ive seen a lot of complaints mainly around the head size but it’s never bothered me since it’s comic Wolverine, proportions aren’t entirely accurate. Was able to get the Mezco DP this summer which is good to pose with him
Glad to see you got the mezco wolverine but a heads up take a q-tip and wipe the base down the ink dry brush mezco used on some dosen't dry so some people have a bleeding effect on there wolverine figure if he falls on the base
Nah, I rather prefer the Love Triangle 3 pack Wolverine, X-MEN 97 Wolverine and the all new updated articulated Astonishing X-MEN suited Wolverine action figure from Hasbro because they nail the short and stalky frame for Logan, Great review overall.
I really like this whole package. Just to nitpick, I would have preferred the trunks to be cloth instead of that pleather material, and would have preferred as different shade of blue, like the Legends one.
highly appreciate the flashing lights warning you have, even though i myself dont suffer from anything pertaining to them im sure those who do appreciate it as well.
anyone else think that the yellow soft goods could use a little airbrush to show a bit of muscle contrast? this is not the first time I seen a hero with soft goods that would benefit from it
oh, product shots for a marvel legends wolverine from deadpool and wolverine have been leaked, so that is coming out at some point if you really want an official hugh jackman wolverine in the classic style outfit.
Also, do check the online photos for the upcoming Hasbro's D&W movie Wolverine, they have have outdone themselves in regards to likeness, sculpt and overall.
I am glad to see you are enjoying this figure, but I personally hate it. I think the unpainted flesh looks waxy, the proportions and scaling seems off, and the soft goods just look so cheap. I think for most superhero costumes, the soft goods Mezco rolls with doesn't work. I think they look great on something like Power Rangers and other live-action characters, but the majority of the Marvel and DC stuff looks like people in cosplay to me. We are still in need of a truly great 1:12 Wolverine. The brown costume MAFEX is probably the best one, but I still think it needs improvement.
agreed 💯... ive always felt the same with Fabric on this scale of a figure ( i know this is Mezco but that Mafex Gambit trenchcoat looks like a Bathrobe to me ) the cloth and threading is just too large and can make an action figure look stiff i sometimes dont like the huge threading on even detailed 1/6 scaled figures as it can throw off a realistic look ... sculpted muscles and the sculpted creases in of a 1/12 size figure i much prefer

i don’t know.. this looks really good but the articulation with the fabric scares me, i always wanted wolverine with a angry screaming expression just like a superman which had the articulation like revoltech with a laser eye accessory. this is a amazing figure and it has what i wanted, but the ripping of the suit is bad. is the articulation like sentinel or revoltech?
i'm currently going after revoltech wolverine because has a more astonishing xmen look, he got more acessories than mafex and isn't as expensive as the mezco (at least in my region) but still... this mezco figure is a work of art. for me it's miles better than mafex (to be honest i don't really care if a figure has cloth suit or full plastic if the figure moves and isn't going to lose colors with time) the number of effects makes mezco one of my favorites companies, i can't think of a single mezco figure that lacked any effect piece
I honestly don't know which of my Wolverine figures i'd call my favorite/the best and I own 20+ lol this one is definitely up there though the selection/variety of accessories is 100% the best you can get
Also Mezcos first version/release of Tiger stripe Wolverine had the more "Mezco'ified" look you were talking about with the extra design and stitching, this version was meant to be more simplified

i own a mezco iron man and i love it, i personally think marvel legends lacks detail in paint jobs and accessories, amazing yamaguchi just overdoes their characters, and mezco does their characters perfectly
1/12 scale is a weird scale because the figure is just a glorified Marvel Legends with added fabric. I think you're better off with Mafex or Marvel Legends who's upped their quality it seems.
Mezcos Deadpool is really good, although much older and rarer than this figure. Not quite the movie Deadpool, but this isn’t quite the movie wolverine either, and the proportions will match a little bit

As someone who had the Mezco brown suit, fuck no. The Mafex brown suit is probably the best one, I don’t like the claws on the tiger stripped Wolverine. But Marvel Legends maybe the best one.

I use a tide pen to clean stains and compressed air to dust them.

As someone who had the Mezco brown suit, fuck no. The Mafex brown suit is probably the best one, I don’t like the claws on the tiger stripped Wolverine. But Marvel Legends maybe the best one.

@@NostalgiaUnboxed It is ok, I just feel Mezco isn’t the best after that figure. As well as the Wonder Woman just overrated in my opinion. Maybe if I did get the better ones, but I got a Superman that isn’t Mezco but is pretty great.
I prefer the Mafex version it's more comic accurate.

AliExpress has them in stock a lot sooner than BBTS since they are rumored to be factory reject cause PDNA didn't pay the factory, but they are legit and are a lot cheaper than the msrp. I got the Jim figure and Psycrow for like $10-$13 each.
