Thank you Sir. Tenant moved out. You helped with my decision. $80 for 5 gallons at Ace Hardware. I need 3. Talking about saving money with a nice mid grade paint!
We recently used this in an office building and found it to be a great paint. Coverage was good and touch up was outstanding. We had some holes to patch and saw no visible signs of the patch or touch up. Thanks for the review… we have recently started using PPG on more jobs as an option to our local competitors. Still testing the water with PPG.
I will be posting a video that surprised on me PPG Manor Hall Flat. PPG Manor Hall Eggshell was terrific klappenbergerandson.com/manor-hall-eggshell-review/ Pitt Glaze was also fantastic: klappenbergerandson.com/pitt-glaze-wb1-eggshell/ Thanks for commenting!
Steve, Thanks for the comments. I will be posting more videos on Manor Hall Flat, Eggshell, and Semi-gloss. I'm posting videos once a week on different paints. If you subscribe they we automatically are sent to you. Also, I have one on a PPG Epoxy Eggshell that is amazing. That one is live.
never understand why painters use the finish coat paint as their primer. Primer does a better job usually cost less than the finish paint, sands better and the finsh coat will look better in the end. I always use a primer. Like to see you try more regional brands like Richard's , Farrell-calhoun, Kelly Moore ect.
I feel like it’s definitely a good paint but for walls with a lot of natural sun light or commercial it shows the overlaps no matter how good you roll it and lay off I tried every way to where I’m doubting myselft and dries super quick so by the time I’m done laying off and dip and go to roll about 1.5 roller widths because I can’t go to farther as I need to roll back in and overlap as it sets super quick . So I’m racing it and just that few secs when I overlap it holds the paint more so I have to go further into previous section and lay off which shows with the natural light no way to keep that edge wet it sets soon ad you do a cut and go dip brush to go back into that part is darkening already and in 1 min I stg it’s dry to touch only feel the moisture behind it ? Would you recommend thinning it out with some thinner or Mabey some flortrol to give it a little more work time ?
I have never tried Glidden Diamond. In the past when I have used Glidden paint, I've been incredible disappointed. I should probably give it another try. I do like Speedhide a lot.
Glidden diamond is terrible compared to this paint. I started a job with the Glidden, got fed up and tried the ppg for the first time and was super impressed.
@@wanderingtraveler1769 hmm, i really liked the glidden diamond compared to valspar we used in a different room. blending very nicely with a dark green.
Coverage is how many square feet you can get out of a given amount of paint. Hiding ability is how well it conceals the color underneath it. If I get paint rated to cover 400 sq feet per gallon at a certain thickness, and I get 400 sq feet painted with it at said thickness, then that's good coverage. If it hides a dark color underneath in one coat, that's great hiding, but if it needs a 2nd coat, then the hiding isn't as great. Coverage and hiding are related but not the same.
Looked at a few of your videos since I'm a painter for new homes. A customer demands BM Aura on a home I'm about to paint. I'm educating myself on it and found your review of it. I hear Benjamin Moore Aura shouldn't be backrolled I use PPG Speedhide for most jobs and it is a good paint. For higher end homes, I'm required to use Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec 500. For whatever reason, the colors always look better with Benjamin Moore paint.

Can you use on a wood floor?
no. You must use paint that is made to be walked on.
How does Speedhide compare to Glidden Diamond?

Coverage is actually called hideability
Thanks, now you can get back to ironing your underwear, or do call them briefs.
