    I was told once when clearing the memory you need to not only disconnect the battery you need to put the lights on to drain any residual charge in the capacitors that backup the memory.
    Nice looking pipework on the header 👍

    • @Mezzmoengineering
      @Mezzmoengineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Mate, I tried that with the battery connected but still needs longer. The memory cleared when I built the engine as it was disconnected for around 3 months. I just need to figure out the minimum time. So far its somewhere between 3 weeks and 3 months...

    Great Video series. Your voice over is just right - has the right amount of information and pace and sound. Very interested to see the tow bar and what smart cars can haul. I find these little engines are pretty unused by the custom community. Not sure why, because personally I think they can be excellent candidates for smaller vehicles, including things like a Sherp, a forklift, a garden tractor, and especially possibly a home built kei truck. Also possibly a liquid cooled generator - all sorts of things. Very slightly disappointed to see it has an aluminum block, though the head was expected. I hope to have a chance to play around with one of these in time. My 1-ton rough terrain forklift (Badger Bucky) has the 920cc Onan twin on it, and I need to probably change it out soon.

      @Mezzmoengineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Lyndon. I couldn't find much info on these engines and agree they have some potential for smaller build. Perhaps this series might get others thinking about these engines a bit differently. Its compact and not heavy with good power output once you clear the intake and let the exhaust breathe. Mercedes have also made it more difficult to play with this with their computers etc but they can be beaten.. Got some interesting mods coming so will probably either make some failures or break new ground....

      @Mezzmoengineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mate, not as wild as the mower but still more mods planned. Eg Lifting by around 3 inches, huge off road wheels, tow bar, bull bar and winch up front. Needs to be able to tow and drive around a rural property

    Your oxygen sensor was extremely dark, something's wrong. Also, it should be in or after the collector, not in a primary pipe. The secondary sensor in some cars does effect tuning also, it's not just to set an alarm.

    • @Mezzmoengineering
      @Mezzmoengineering  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate, it seems to work fine. It’s was dark before because it had blown rings and hence why I rebuilt the engine. For what I use this car for I don’t think the first sensor location makes much difference. Thanks for the comment

    • @DonziGT230
      @DonziGT230 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mezzmoengineering The sensor position makes a difference for two reasons. Being in a head pipe it won't get an accurate reading, and it's restricting the exhaust flow of that cylinder.

    • @Mezzmoengineering
