Hi Thomas! Never push the wood too fast through the table saw or bandsaw. Let the blade do the cutting. Pushing the piece faster than what the blade can cut will give you poor cuts and is a safety issue.

I REALLY appreciate the indepth discussion about WHY you made certain design choices, I never would have consciously realized things like the shadow line on the bottom or darkening transitions, and now its something I can look for in my own future designs, please keep doing that

My son with special needs found this video and immediately said that's what we need to do, make everyone in the family one of these tissue boxes, so that's what we are doing.
Just watched your bandsaw box video and realised it's your book I bought a couple of years back.
Absolutely brilliant, best videos for woodworking on TH-cam. Thanks.👍

I wish my hardwood dealer was like Kencraft. They’re real cool guys, but you have to go in their office, tell them what you’re looking for, then they take you out in the warehouse and you grab what you came from. There’s no just browsing around like I wish there was.

Probably because the vast majority of hobbyists can’t dump $3,000+ into one tool. Not very DIY friendly. It would be nice if the guy gave at little more thoughtful CNC alternative. Jig saw is ok, but not a great option, especially for batching out a lot of these. I was thinking just cut a large diameter oval out of plywood for a handheld plunge router guide.

The worst thing to me about a box of tissues is that as they get used, they get further away from the hole, with the top one eventually falling down inside and away from the hole so you don't have the handy popup effect, requiring you to reach in and dig in that annoyingly dry stuff with your fingernails to find the edge of the next one. So I'd like to see (and make) a tissue box where you discard the cardboard box and put the stack of tissues into the wooden box. Make it with a fixed bottom, but get this: A top that is _not_ attached, but which follows the stack down as they get used, so that the tissues are always right up against the hole, and the top one always sticking out and able to be easily grabbed. So a fixed bottom and a 'follower' top, and toss the original cardboard box. What do you think?
