My grandkids love learning about animals like I did growing up & finding them videos to check out can be great. But as soon as I looked at a few, TH-cam of course starts showing me a ton of channels. I talk often about things like media literacy, good research practices, fact & source checking, because so few people develop those skills, & as more random people with various interests realize they can create their own content & make an income doing it, not only do we see people who don't know a lot about the subjects they are interested in, or don't have enough experience, many of those people are equally less able to fact check their own content. I've seen dozens of channels on animals showing CGI animation as real animals (the Hammerhead Salamander often), or they show images of what they think are baby animals, that are actually sculptures an artist makes. But another big issue is how many people use AI images for their videos as the image for the video. Poison Dart Frogs are amazing, & vibrant, but the image you used is not only AI, but the body shape is a Leopard Frog, with colors never seen together even on the Dart frogs. Other people are worse, using pics they know will make someone check the video, but talking about parasites for example, but the image will be AI, & show giant sized maggots or isopods, covering the ground with a human in it to make the fantasy size clear. And even before the AI explosion, so many people still are so ignorant about animals, that at this point, its just an endless avalanche of wrong info, misleading info, & worse.
