I have been driving this truck since November 2017 and i put about 55K miles on it well honestly its a beautiful truck, smooth and comfy to drive. Headlights are awesome, just enjoy driving at night. Well the steering angle needs to be improved, most of the states has roads way small and narrow then some few others states, and lower curtains looks good but not practical its easy to lose them. Our highways are not perfect to have low curtains
Design the sleeper with a bunk up top and a small sit down shower/toilet on the bottom and a small chair and table. That will sell lots of trucks guys.
A 2020 cascadia 3 years ago? It is now 2020 I'm so lost.. and this is the first time I've seen a cascadia without mirrors on the hood and it looks weird lol.. getting ready to pick up a 2021 and become owner op next week can't wait.
I bought it a month ago with a lot of expectation and joy as it was my first new truck. Day one the ABS light came on, the rest of the week I had lower bed not locking (still not fixed due to part unavailability), front brakes over heated and skidding took a week to replaced it since they didn’t have parts, alignment done (one of my tires is garbage and had to pay myself), and the engine lights kept coming on (IPM, HVCR, ICUC, SSAM, MCM, CPC and etc.) name the sensor it is ON. Freightliner has NOOOO idea why and my truck isn’t the only one here with those issues. I have spent more then 3 weeks now in the service shop without a proper fix or resolution. honestly with the holidays coming I believe I will be broke and homeless soon as I put all my savings as downpayment plus the monthly isn’t cheap. Freightliner’s Elite service centre don’t have the parts nor understanding of how tough our life can become by missing weeks and months of work. With parts being Back ordered to over 30days wait I suggest you guys save your money until all these issues are resolved.
What do you expect, Cascadias are cheap budget trucks, why do you think so many companies flock to them over Peterbilt and Kenworth? While they are crap, they are cheaper to fix than competitors.
They need to consider an ergonomically designed and positioned driver seat! I hate that I have to sit hunched back and sideways! Steering wheel is not centered to seat.
Watch it is for HUMANS no for computers or nerds behind a computer driving this rig so please next time you see this give some respect for the truckers because thx to them you have all you needs delivered on time.
I love the truck very much always wanted one I am 79 yr old now was trucking back in my younger years 60 70s 80s I still want one HaHa mabe rebuild one ?
no way to hang clothes. Some people do not want to wear clothes from a duffle bag. My 97 peterebilt might not have had the stupid look. But it was set up for MY COMFORT. Not the phone use, not the electronic crap. Like the first driver said. JUST SIT N DRIVE. ???? They dont drive. They STEER
Danny Borski 7:31 spent months trying to figure out the ideal route to run this test on and they wanted something representable of their customers because he is clearly a frustrated rocket scientist if not a brain surgeon ...
Really?! controls on the steering wheel gives the driver control of the dash cluster while keeping hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Ever here of "Driver Distraction"? Driving Truck is all about focus. To put this into proper prospective, a common motorist Distraction is the vehicles sound system. Seen any bad car driving lately? The other important tool that major truck manufacturers ignore is the rear facing mirrors. Every commercial Drivers need to have the feeling of complete vision around the vehicle. To put this into perspective, seen any truck drivers involved in needless accident lately. The best example of a Truck Driver comment that beholds that human driver as not knowledgeable is..." that car cut me off". Not true, you are the commander of the ship, the scanner of the highway universe and the captain of control.
The most important thing to me... would be a bathroom! I don't want to worry about where I'm taking my next shower. But Volvo has got Freightliner beat! They say we have all the parts to keep your down-time at a minimum. Hahaha... Buy a Volvo and you won't need to be down hardly ever!
Def dpf scr egr u name it will be coming on after two weeks and u will end up in the shop for weeks. I have yet to see a tec who knows how to fix this trucks lol they leak oil when it’s raining water gets in the cab.
so let me get this right. The newer truck has a lower gear. More wind reflecting. less horse power Less power. More work for the driver . But the computer said a better truck.
I'm guessing the age spread of the engineers that designed the new Cascadia is between 28-58 years. This puts the design team smack dab in the middle of the computer revolution. Video games, apps, and everything one could do, or would do, at ones finger tips on a keyboard. Driving a truck however, consists of being constantly ALERT to the driver's EXTERIOR environment, meaning in non-engineering terms..."the world OUTSIDE the windshield". To become involved with buttons INSIDE the windshield, is to become DISTRACTED from the world OUTSIDE the windshield. If engineers did not have the input of seasoned PROFESSIONAL drivers, for the redesign, Freightliner execs should seriously consider tapping into the WEALTH of wisdom and experience of seasoned professional TRUCK DRIVERS to add valuable design input. On a lighter note, it seems kind of silly to have a group of engineers raised up in the ELECTRONIC age, put together a piece of equipment for use by people who operate in real time....in the AUTOMOBILE age. No matter which way is tried to make things more CONVENIENT for drivers, the best and foremost convenience is to design a product that will roll mile after mile after mile.....after mile...WITHOUT BREAKING DOWN. It's REALLY REALLY INCONVENIENT to get PUT OUT OF SERVICE BY YOUR OWN TRUCK! Because the CHIP SHIPMENT that your ECM is built with, is stuck a mile out in the drink waiting to unload at Long Beach. And REMEMBER, that ole truck yer movin down the highway....aint no video game! Even if the little do jobby buttons on the steering wheel look JUST LIKE THE ONES ON THE PLAY STATION YOU GREW UP PLAYING ON. ALWAYS REMEMBER....PLAY STATION....NOT REAL...78,000 POUND TRUCK...VERY VERY REAL. Let's all stay safe, and when that truck is moving, keep your eyes on the roaf, not the neat little menu screen in the middle of the dash.
Dilshod Tolibov I do! Simply press the brake hard to the floor and hold, then press gas pedal all the way till you tac at 1200. Turn on cruise, and hit RESUME. (If it doesn't work, repeat until it does) Your welcome!
looks to me like freightliner is trying to build a better horse. if you're thinking of buying one of these clydsdales, maybe you should hold off a bit and get signed up with Tesla to buy one of their new all electric trucks. check out Tesla's new video on it. putting money down on one of these dinosaures is the worst thing you can do. be one of the first to buy one of the tesla's and you will have a liscense to print money. never change the brakes. a warranty on parts including windshield that lasts for a million miles. check it out.
Freightliners are made in Mexico it’s not American made trucks because Iaai directly pick them up from the border and deliver them to the dealer so that tells you it’s not American made trucks western star is the same thing international is the same thing
Yes whatever built in Mexico the technology is the best but nothing is put together the way it is supposed to you have to go all over the country to figure out everything please don't go on the lies
Nothing is a high class when it comes to a piece of s**t truck made in Mexico not in American made truck because I’ve personally picked up from Laredo and deliver them to the dealers
Question, how come you Americans can't design a product that is actually reliable, one that doesn't break down every couple months? Seriously it's a joke, embarrassing, wishing Hino made class 8's so we could put you goons out of business.

Demand the dealer takes the lemon truck back and issue you a new one. 3 weeks of down time is ridiculous!

Hope everything works out dude

Very beautiful truck. Question, what happens when the computer that controls all of this new technology croaks?
shut the main power off. for a bit to let it reset itself.
New truck payment
What's the situation regarding right hand drive.
Dump all the crap. Normal gauges, good engine , stick shift.
Mack is king
Nice how much does one run like in the video with set up just like the pictures?
They need to consider an ergonomically designed and positioned driver seat! I hate that I have to sit hunched back and sideways! Steering wheel is not centered to seat.
Frumos. Frumos. Super. Camioane. "2020" ........

aero X package is so underrated, because it is much more expensive than aero or standard package (with no aerodynamic features) 😢😢😢.
where did they go wrong.?

Considering the new Detroit engines won't run in -10* and colder weather it might as well have a nice interior. What a joke of a truck.
I've run a DD15 in -40 in Fargo ND before with no problem. What are you talking about?
what is the price please
125k
WHAT!!!!! All that tech and no sirus/xm,no place for cb antenna mount.....Im just lookin at vids for the pop up driver like on men in black movie..
Too many commercials! I know you want to make money, but damn.
🤣

1 hour video? oh my
yep! LoL
Here in germany ...
...a dream...
Meh. Railroads still work far better.
Storage in sleeper area is “brutal” whom ever designed this never spent any real time in a truck ... very disappointed!

I like this job I would like to become a truck driver but I am in Africa how to do?
There front leaf spring bushings go bad pree fast causing noise when turning other that it blows the competition out of the water
mine says Kilometers instead of Miles, does anyone know how to change this to miles?
OK so its simple take your fist and punch the windshield. That should do the trick
Apparently, they didn't check my fridge door before it left the factory, because mine won't stay latched.

Reliability is job one. Safety job 2. I'd rather own a Ford F-450.
Volvo is King.
Nope... my 1997 Freightliner Classic is king. NO DEF...😂😂😂
👏🏿👍🏿
Who knows , how to idle this truck ???
Dilshod Tolibov I do! Simply press the brake hard to the floor and hold, then press gas pedal all the way till you tac at 1200. Turn on cruise, and hit RESUME.
