- In a report by a committee on drug trafficking, French senators warn that France is being 'submerged by illicit drugs'. FRANCE 24's Tom Burges Watson is joined by Thomas Pietschmann, Senior Research Officer at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), who explains that this trend extends to the whole of Europe, and it concerns in particular the trafficking of cocaine from South America.

The European Parliament have lost billions of taxes every by not legalising marijuana since 2008, and it is time Europeans were allowed a referendum to vote on legalising it 😁👍
Why don't they just legalise them and control them ? look at prohibition in the USA.
The problem is not the illegal weed but the rise in use of cocaine and other substances but mainly cocaine, right now it's an epidemic in europe and is bringing a lot of revenue to narcos.
Real problem is people choosing to do cocaine, especially in the party scene, atleast 1 in 10 people partying have done cocaine and do it ocasionaly in weekends along with drinking, weed was always and will be there and does not cause much issue, although almost all cocaine users i know atleast smoke weed daily or atleast have smoked at some point, big problem in europe and the mental crisis among young people 100% has to do something with it.
And now taxes are raised,,,again..pfff very tiring
You can't even keep it out from prison, forget about it not entering your country

I think cocaine is something that you need to have some self control with or realize when you are using a tad to much a bit to frequently. You dont get do it every week and shouldn't.

According to my friend, cocaine is always "pretty lacklustre" if compared to cannabis, MDMA, 2CB and LSD. Like they are really expensive but somewhat lacking when it comes to how much fun one can have.

back in 1992 we went to a nightclub in Paris. Couldnt even get a single rizla all night, so things must have really gone downhill.
AT this Time Coke was really expensive in France and mostly only for the rich people gathering, like 150 $ a gram, nowadays you Can find it in every block and every Cannabis pushers also offers coke, you Can buy it for 30-40 $ for half a gram, or 60-80$ a gram. If the taliban could eliminate opium production in a country like Afghanistan, then the Western governments could do the same if they wanted to. They would rather spend the money playing at stemming the flow because that is much more profitable.

China is MAKING the precursor to Fentanyl. They learned a lot from the Opium Wars. Its obvious China intends to hook the West on the strongest, most addicting opiate drug possible, and the newest synthetic Fentanyl is 20 times stronger than the kind they use in hospitals (which is already 50 times stronger than heroin). China intends this to happen.
