The Black Rock in the Kaaba was actually stolen by a fanatic who thought he could turn the rest of Islam to follow him. Unfortunately, it was accidentally broken before being rescued, and the pieces are set in some special stuff to protect them. Yes, all the pilgrims who've been allowed to touch it have probably turned it black with their touching. But does it matter? It's holy to the Faithful of Islam.

The Kaaba rock is a bolide (meteorite) and its black from the passing thru and burning up by the atmosphere. And yes it is much much older than the Muslim site.

Why would Scientists want to explain an Archaeological site? That, believe it or not, is why we have .....Archaeologists.

Experts say that the ONLY reliable way to date a tree, is to know when it was planted! And why does every unknown site and statue have to be for some religeous ceremony? No surprise there, the Portuguese were known to have fishing villages on the North Western coastline of Australia hundreds of years before Cook!

So when did they discount counting the rings on the tree? it is difficult and keeping up with all the new stuff, the new ideas, new information?, that keep coming to the surface. Of course we should always check the references because not all information described in this type of material has history.
