Very cool backstory of the Bison MI & demo - especially the buffing wheelI & it's so awesome that you'd wanted one since your childhood & finally got one - congrats! I like how your sweatshirt matches it, too. :) It's interesting that Bison selected a similar avocado green color to the Kirby DS80. There is a scanned1968 Bison users manual available for purchase at Automatic Ephemera in case you're interested. It may feature the Mark I. Thanks, Karl, for an informative green vac vid - tis kind of ya, lad!
@@nightwolf883 oh very cool! I’ve seen those ones too and they’re awesome! I actually have both the green one and the brown one. Maybe I’ll make a video on the brown one someday :) Thanks again for watching!
@@Konstellation_Karl_55 my grandparents used to own a legend 2 they got from the estate of a retired dentist, purchased in 1989 in what was still communist Poland.
@@Kubulek17 that’s so cool! I’ve always wanted to open up a UK spec Kirby and check out what they did to adjust it to the different electrical currents :)
@@Konstellation_Karl_55 I have the Mark three and a tool Cady, but unfortunately I could only find a centurion hose, it works great, though my rheostat does not work because the circuit board has a blown resistor, so it only has full power
Yes bison used a general electric motor that's why it's so high speed but the bad thing is that kirby did sue bison because one of the workers that used to work at kirby made bison a little identical to kirby so the kc sued them and they went out of business and I also think royal the maker of dd did go in competition with the kirby company
@@Konstellation_Karl_55 I used to have many Regina steemers as a kid, they were quite powerful, even with the 7.0 Amp motor on the last model they made

I just love how it manages to be incredibly ugly AND incredibly beautiful at exactly the same time!
Oh for sure! Such a strange and menacing looking machine! Thanks for watching!
I could watch these videos all day, keep it up!
@@ixionn563 thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
That’s a cool machine I don’t think I’ve ever seen in use. It sounds like a tornado siren winding up when you turn it on.
Thank you! That’s a big reason I fell in love with it :)
Wish we had had these in the UK They are such cool looking machines, congrats on having one in such good condition
Thank you so much! It’s definitely one of my favorites! And thank you for watching!
What an incredible looking machine!
Oh yes! One of my favorite looking machines and a huge inspiration for my collecting :) thanks for watching!
what a great vacuum
It’s definitely a fun one! Thank you for watching!
Love the sound of the Start Up/Shutdown.
Me too! I always loved the look of this machine, but the motor completely sold it for me :) thank you for watching!
WOW! One of the most exciting vacuums what I have ever seen. I wish quality control were better. Absolutely a gem. I have Kirby Tradition and G6.
Thank you so much for watching!
A vac I've been chasing for a long time is an American Lincoln Super Sweep. I wish I could find one
Those are cool!

I only have one kirby - a tradition model and i love it - it does remind me of my kirby so very much here in the UK 🇬🇧

Does your headlight lense go all the way down?
It can if I push it down, but it slowly comes back up, so I let it rest where it’s at so that it doesn’t break.

The major issue Kirby did not like was that Bisons had a removable floor head, that was the major thing they sued over
