Glad you like it. Just make it in few sizes and weights... For current conditions... I also made dry caddis with same body.... Worked everywhere i used it... Mongolia, china, serbia... 😀😀😀
thanks for reminding me. I had forgotten about fly I tied last year that was like this but with red thorax. I caught 6 fish on in before losing it and meant to make up some more, which I'm doing now :-)
Thanks so much. Oholi is pronounced phonetically. (O as in olive, H as in hat, O as in olive, L and I as in igloo) hope this makes sense. Not sure i explained it well
This is a quick intro on how to tie a simple Perdigon. I've never tied one before. I'll use your instructions to start tying them in various colors and with various materials. Thanks much.
@@Oholisfliesandfishing Yes, I found more of those as well. I'll start with the "extremely simple" one first and work my way up... :-) As always, thanks for posting them.
Thank you a lot. Well, it would be 4mm but only because i dont use larger. I try to keep it competition legal. I used to compete and one of the rules was 4mm max.
@@Oholisfliesandfishing oh I see . Thanks ! I noticed that when I try to use 4 mm beads on a 16, the eye of the hook will often slip through the bead hole ! Appreciate your comments !
@@Oholisfliesandfishing I use Hanak 450s I can get a 3.8 to work but the 4.0 and larger slip off It’s ok though because I usually don’t need anything larger than 3.3 -3.8 mm to get down .

Crystal flash or tinsels. I pay more attention to width of it. If too wide it wont lay on underbody flat. It will have bumps and folded sections... Narrow is what i like. Often i use one that i got cheap in tool set from India.
@@Oholisfliesandfishing okay thanks for the info also i find it hard tying on a size 16 hook so i just use size 14s...can you tell me what vise your using please sir ?

I have a lot to learn from your videos. You are a terrific fly tier.
Thank you so much for your kindness. Glad you think so. 🍺😀
Thanks bro… this is the first fly on my “ to do list”!!!

@@captainkoo are u using regular hooks? Use jig hooks. Or better. Jig hooks with 4mm jig off bead

in that case use 3.8. Its probably 4mm. most producers have some diameter tolerance. @@captainkoo
Check out my black and blue Perdigon courtesy of the Spanish fly fishing team during the WFFC.
I learned a lot from Portuguese and Spanish competitive fly fisherman. Thats how i first start using these nymphs. 😀

Great video Vladimir as always 👍. What UV lamp are you using? Thanks for posting.
Thank you. 😃 The lamp is Battaglia. But i saw some without brand that look the same on aliexpress
what kind of flash do u use...for ur perdigons
Crystal flash or tinsels. I pay more attention to width of it. If too wide it wont lay on underbody flat. It will have bumps and folded sections... Narrow is what i like. Often i use one that i got cheap in tool set from India.
Which vise please.
Renzetti traveller
What size tinsel are you using small or medium
I prefer small and medium because its easier to work with. It will make smooth body... Large can create bumps if underbody is not perfectly flat
