As a black person, you just cannot convince me that the hate for Jokic and Luka isn’t because they’re white. At first I gave the media the benefit of the doubt and figured they just thought Jokic was a boring player to watch with awkward (yet impactful) basketball moves. But after witnessing how the same network loses their minds over Wemby and praises him (who also has awkward-looking yet impactful plays), it is clear to me that the hate has to do with skin color. This is what happens when you teach generations of kids that it’s not okay to be racist to black people but it’s okay for black people to trash white people and hope for their downfall… because of colonialism and slavery or something. If Jokic was black, I just can’t imagine that they would be treating him the same way. And I lost almost all respect for Shaq after he felt the need to confront Jokic about the MVP award on the same day he received it, possibly ruining the moment for him. These NBA media guys are so freaking jealous and prejudice.

yeah but i don't think shaq is racist, he's just jealous of new big men.
you say they are racist and i agree and i'll add a little more. the anti-white undertones make it "okay" for them to hate joker. but the real reason they hate joker is because he makes their boss, lebron james, look bad. lebron's pull in the media via klutch sports cannot be understated. many of the epsn clown are on their payroll, and the rest go along with it because they are company men. they don't have spines. it's hard to understate how cowardly these people are. it's corporate media and none of them think independently.

Of course it's. They're literally increase the number of racism towards black people with their own racist behavior, and they did it so openly that it mind boggling. Competition does matter, but the notion that a center who can lead the break, is one of the best passers of all time, and weighs 280+ lbs, can shoot the 3, has an array of shots in his game (he is far more gifted offensively than Zo Mourning, for example) could not compete against good defensive centers like Ewing and Robinson is absurd. Every single center looked bad or just "Good" against top flight opposition at times. They all got scored on, by guys who were less offensively talented than Jokic. Jokic is the best passing big man of all time, and possibly the best (certainly top 5) of passers to play the game in the NBA. At this point, it does seem almost like an intentional effort to downplay, minimize or just flat out, ignore the unavoidable brilliance that Nikola Jokić is clearly showcasing in the NBA, especially in these playoffs. The guy is literally toying with the best defense led by the 4x defensive player of the year, putting on an absolute masterpiece in game 5, and yet it seems like they would rather talk about anything, but that specifically. It reminds me of back in the day, when Tim Duncan was dominating the NBA and winning championships. You couldn’t avoid or ignore his clear all-time greatness, so what they did instead was that they minimized and shortened the coverage for it, and they couldn’t wait to find somebody more “spectacular” to watch to dump most if not all of their coverage toward them instead. They did it then with LeBron James and they’re doing it now with Anthony Edwards (who I like as a player btw)

    • @jordanjenkins1671
      @jordanjenkins1671 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

💯 And to this day the Tim Duncan narratives are "He won because he had Parker and Ginobili" which is similar to what they were saying after the Lakers series this year: "If LeBron had the help Jokic had -- Murray, AG, MPJ, KCP, etc" Look back at that 1999 season and Tim Duncan actually outplayed the MVP Karl Malone in most of their regular season matchups. Tim Duncan was a monster and played to win, not to stuff the stat sheet.

ESPN again. I went through their website and got into an article about the greatest NBA Finals performance based on GmSc or Game Scores. When I checked all GmSc data from 1983 to current, all the numbers were fake.
    Here are the actual numbers:
    2021 Giannis - 31.9
    2000 Shaquille O’Neal - 30.6
    2017 Kevin Durant - 30.3
    2002 Shaquille O’Neal - 30.1
    1993 Michael Jordan - 29.6
    2017 Lebron James - 29.6
    1991 Michael Jordan - 29.4
    1987 Magic Johnson - 28.3
    2018 LeBron James - 28.3
    2023 Nikola Jokic - 27.7
    2001 Shaquille O’Neal - 27.4
    2018 Kevin Durant - 26.9
    2016 Lebron James - 26.5
    1992 Michael Jordan - 25.8
This network is such a fraud. When I emailed them about it, they pulled out the article and replaced it with a "single game" performance metrics to cover up for the games where their cashcow choked. 😂

The standard explanation for why Jokic is hated is because his "style of play is boring" like Tim Duncan...but that's not true at all. Jokic's play is RIVETING. He passes like he has eyes on the back of his head. Half of his passes lead to SICK, bring down the house Air Gordon alley oop dunks. The two man game with murray either results in jokic making these floaters and hookshots that look like they're straight out of a game of horse or murray making those pretty mid-range jumpers. And jokic will splash a clutch 3 when necessary too. How could you not be entertained??
