Guys like Olajuwon, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing and Shaquille O'Neal were competing for MVPs every season. LeBron is 5/16 against Tim Duncan in the playoffs and lost in the playoffs to prime Dwight Howard. Wdym bro look at how many HOFers and top 75 players played their primes in the 90s. You weren’t even allowed to do a crossover dribble in the 60s. Your average point guard shot 30% from the field. Stfu
So they wouldn't try and bust him up for bulldozing the lane? LOL. There are flop-compilations videos of Lebron on youtube! You think Lebron will even be allowed to run his own system in the 90s? Why do we always have to cut up your food for you to eat it? Don't answer the question. Tis better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.
Arguing that the 90's were more watered down than the 60's may be accurate to some degree, but you forget that the current NBA is even more watered down now. Arguing that players are better TODAY, when there are MORE players able to play in the league, well, you're just torpedo-ing your own argument. The 90's had less roster spots available, which means you had to be even better to earn one of those spots than you would today. Scoring is up 15-20 points per game compared to the 90's because tough defense isn't allowed, and because refs don't know what travel and double-dribble fouls are anymore, among other things. That means LeBum would have scored LESS back then, not more. He would have had less opportunities, and would have been physically obliterated by the likes of players such as Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon and Bill Laimbeer. If the Jordan Rules were to be applied to LeBron, there is no way he would have the mental fortitude to take the beatings, and also couldn't have shut up about it and would not have gone to the gym and built himself up to absorb it and keep delivering excellence, on both ends of the floor, for 80+ games per season.
