Geo💈💈 Great shave. Love the Japanese style razors, this Feather is a stunning example. With virtually no maintenance, this AC blade razor would be perfect. One and done... BAM!

I think in my case SR would stand for stitches required.

Sometimes I feel that way after shaving my head with my Merkur razor.

It looks like Feather has taken the advantages of the SS (What does ss sound like? :() and DX series and rolled them into the SR series which is amazing.

I get a really close shave from my Feather artist club, but it's the one razor in my collection that I always nick myself with. Never managed to get through 3 passes without at least a weeper in 5 years of trying 😂

Hey there Geo 👋 I was just curious to know if you prefer the new SR Japanese style over the older SS Japanese style and if you think it’s worth the 60$ difference, i’ve been using the folding version of the SS for about a year now but wanna try something new and not sure which direction I should go, any response is appreciated thank you!

Been a while since SR shaving. But a shavett is good practice. Nice demonstration of fast reaction to seal off weepers with the alum block.

Hey. My favorite is the feather professional blades. I get over 10 shaves out of these blades.

My beard growth is light to medium so I am perfectly satisfied with my double edge razor, but who knows, maybe I will get one of those SRs for that close shave in the future.
I like those small bloopers at the end of the video!

this looks great for shaping up my beard by the cheek bones and cleaning up the neck too. hey Geo, have you seen that Leaf shave apparatus around? have been rather curious about the approach of it and your thoughts on it. anyways, great product here for sure, considering it for myself. have a great day!

    • @bluegrassman3040

That razor and the foldable shavettes, and straight razors do a good job for that. The DE razors always give me mixed results when I try to line up my beard under my cheeks.

Hi Geo, Love the Feather Shavette Razer. I have the Feather Artist Club SS Black ( folding type ) Razer. Great razers. I prefer to use the "professional Super" blades, I love the super smooth feel. Have a great day Geo.

  • @AsheBailey

I use this feather mostly because I got too lazy to constantly hone my straight edge. Wickedly sharp blade that calms down after the 1st few uses. Water dulls it if left, so wiping with a tissue after use is something I advise.

'The Feather Artist Club razors are the choice of many high-end barbers' - that may well be true, but that's not what you are using! i never saw a barber using a kamisori. Maybe in Japan!
The super pro blades are harsh mistresses and any slip will have you rubbing alum on, so the pro-guards are a close and comfortable choice. i don't know about the other blades.
i reckon on about 9 shaves and then the performance tails off.
