@@jasmineelum7267 Funny, but very likely true. Funny thing. I had the cassettes for DZ and BTWS when they came out. Had to buy multiple times because they would eventually break from too many plays. The only other tape that I played enough for that to happen was Life is Too Short. Anyway, fast forward to 1996. I really wasn't very internet savy, and wasn't aware of online buying. However, my girl at the time showed me how to search, etc. The first thing that popped in my head to buy was Danger Zone. Shows the impact they had on me. So my first ever online purchase ended up being a Tuff Crew cd. I'm 50 years old and My Part of Town is still my favorite song ever.
They was and still is the best rap group there was , a lot of rappers from other cities stole their sound and style of beat making and topic , I love my city and hood north philadelphia , real ass pioneers
My Melody came out in 84-85. The Wreck Shop album came out in the late 80's ... 88, I think. I love Tuff Crew, especially the Danger Zone Album. Wreck shop was good. It a few tracks that I consider classic. "What, You Don't Know?" is one of those classics. But you can put in Danger Zone, and just let the whole album play. Man, I miss those days (teary eye'd)
My old stomping grounds !!! Most of this was filmed on American st. WOW bring back some good memories !!! Once in a blue I used to see these guys parked up in their old school Suzuki jeeps around 7th master !!!! Good ol days
I recorded this on 89 U back in '89....I didn't know who it was but years later when i seen the video i started to bug out...I was like " Who are these fools? "... But it takes be back to that late '80's early '90's Freestyle scene... yeah " I DIDN'T KNOW " ..Takes me back to the River Side Boys of Paterson NJ ...They used to talk mad shit ..
I was in this video and in Robin Hoods. I think Robin Hoods was the only one that made it to Yo MTV Raps. I remember being told it would be on and setting my vcr to record the whole show.
@@internetrambo4928 You're right, I didn't recognise it, it's much better I kinda remember the beat, the original is much better, thanks for the heads up

Ice Dog is so fucking dope. One of my all time faves
The Greg knows his shit. Not many people do
The tuff crew was like the NWA supergroup of Philly this group was very slept on and underrated
Ice easily had/has one of the most immediately recognizable voices in hip hop.
Definitely underrated in history of hip hop. If they were from Nyc. They would have a documentary series in honor of them.

Maybe DJ TooTuff can answer you. facebook.com/djtootuff
Billy Ray I prefer the original too, but I do like this version.

Opinions vary, but I think the consensus would be that it is unique and legendary.
