These guys could hoop. Thats back when Knight made an effort to recruit which he admitted he didn't like in later years. His team had 5 NBA players on it......or 6 counting Radford
He was at his best recruiting the parents over and above the players. But by the 2000s, parents had a far diminished role in most players' lives and that's when society passed him by.
I was a Sophomore in HS, in west central Indiana. Go Hoosiers ever since.
I was in school at I.U., Kent lived across the hall from me in the the McNutt Dorm. Great guy... It was one hell of a ride...
The last team to go undefeated in college basketball and win it all
One of the greatest basketball teams ever! GO HOOSIERS!
THE BEST
Interesting to think that Larry Bird would have been on this team had he stayed at IU. I wonder how he would have done.

I don't think Bobby Knight made that famous half time speech that season things went to damn well
oh i think he made plenty of them
Great Indiana team. They beat Ucla after Wooden had retired. And Michigan wasn't very good. But Indiana was still a great team.

Best squad
Kent Benson, the guy who ran Larry Bird out of Bloomington.
Not much foul language was needed with a perfect season
RIP Jerome Whitehead
Rest In Heaven #22 Wayne Radford!
to keep being TOTALLY honest i did do and will really LOVE hakeem olajuwon ALMOST as much as kareem abdul-jabbar bill russell and wilt chamberlain
They should've been undefeated two years in a row if May hadn't broke his arm.
in ALL honesty as of december of 99 i really really HATE iu including the #1 worst player ever damon bailey and bob knight
