To me if you compare every generation of camry and accord, I'd personally choose Accord every single time. Not to say the camry is bad I LOVE it they're neck and neck but I prefer Hondas touch of sportiness and driving dynamics.
Also, after market hybrid battery on a Camry is much cheaper than what you could get with a Honda. And the Accord has a fix a flat kit, Camry has a spare tire.
And take a whole point away from the Camry because he was wrong about Accord not having heated steering and sunroof. And give Accord another point for having A satellite enabled SOS button to call emergency services and a remote unlock from your phone in case you lock the keys in the car
Both are great options if you don't want to join the SUV bandwagon. Accord for me. Its iihs ratings are stellar and Honda's revised hybrid system is brilliant. Why spend 18:49 40k for a sedan vs SUV? Looks better, handles better , rides better and in the Accord case has loads of room
When you can buy a brand new 7 series easy but you rather have a toyota or honda because you don't need to worry about it breaking on the road. Reliability is so nice to have on a car, my first car was a toyota celica at 140k used I had no issues on it until it hit 200k. I love my Touring, I just wish Honda would have made an AWD trim with a pano sun roof. Other than that it’s such a great and comfy car. It’s is insanely comfortable and I get great gas mileage (40 MPG). For it being a 2.0 L 4 Cylinder it has great power as well. I fully ceramic coated the exterior and interior where there is piano black and it just looks amazing.
If the Camry had Bose speakers it would be a winner in my book but since it doesn’t I may have to pick the Accord as clear sound is definitely something I look for in a car.
I had a Camry 3.5 SE I sold with almost 500,000 miles on it. 07 2022 never had an issue other than maintenance never touched the transmission. Just kept on going.
Have not driven the new Camry but the driver’s seat in the Accord was more comfortable than the previous Camry and the Accord engine was smoother. Looks are subjective but the new Accord looks more expensive.
But he was comparing the highest trim of the accord which is the touring and the highest trim of the Camry which is the XSE. It would not make sense to compare the touring with a lower trim

Most of these will sell in the $30k range. You need to check all the options boxes on the highest trim levels to get to $40k. If you think it’s a bad deal check out the pricing on Rav4s and CRVs, they’re not cheaper.
@@kevinartacho2088yeah probably … I think for $40k I personally would still choose a sedan. If I needed more interior volume I’d buy an Odyssey or Sienna.

One thing you could not consider is the dealership experience. I just sold my 2022 Honda Civic. I had a wonderful two years with the car. But Honda would not negotiate for a Accord. They also wanted to add 3k of useless crap. On top of MSRP. Toyota sold me a loaded SE. $2.450 under MSRP. No crap no BS. That was huge. Anyone want the name of the dealership, hit me up
Camry offers more options, AWD, better gas mileage, and has more bang for your buck. I like the new accords a lot too, but the Camry definitely takes the cake
Do you have to pay for the remote start after trial? I thought that was just for on your phone. Our 2012 Lexus just had you press the lock key 3 times to start- no subscription required.
Having to buy the spare tire kit as an accessory is a bit of a bummer. I found the Camry seats very uncomfortable. I am looking for a highway cruiser and for that purpose I am looking toward the Accord. Have not ruled out the Camry's big brother Lexus ES Ultra
I've had a few Accords, never a Camry, but have had other Toyota's. My .02, the Accord's have all been surprisingly fun to drive and comfortable for the most part. It's nice Honda finally decided to offer a decent sound system, although I'm not a huge fan of Bose car audio, but it's got to be a step up from what the Accord offered in the past for the "premium audio" option. But cosmetically, they don't hold up as well - exterior body panels *will* rust anywhere there is a rock chip or scratch, the rubber bits will all break down under the sun and become gooey and cracked, sheet metal is very thin and the paint is delicate. Toyota's seem to hold up better in this regard, with better quality steel, exterior rubber and paint, and less proclivity for rust. But when you move to the inside, Honda interiors, excluding their poor quality leathers that shrink and harden with any exposure to water, do seem more cohesive and tend to look nicer, longer. I don't know what it is with Honda choosing for far too long to use the worst quality leather possible, but I wouldn't count on the leather staying nice for the long term unless you manage to NEVER get any moisture on it. Toyota has always used better leather (except the steering wheel, Honda does use full grain on that where Toyota uses what seems like bonded leather or mid-grain with a vinyl paint that looks like trash after a few years). So neither car checks all the boxes, really, but they both look like a pretty solid value for the price point, which honestly seems insane to say when you're talking about $40k which used to buy a really nice near-luxury car. But that's where we are.
My local dealerships are giving me out the door numbers on Accord EXL for 36K and Camry XLE at 39K… the Accord is about 1500 over msrp while the Camry is 5500 over!!!
The Camry is good in so many ways, but the Accord simplicity just work wonders. Also, why the new Prius look so much better than the Camry. I stick with Accord simple and elegant looks.
Although it is sad times that the Toyota 2GR-FE V6 and Honda 2.0T are no longer on offer for either(although the prices are still the same🤔), I'm glad to see that Honda and Toyota are both still invested in the car game. The Honda comes across as more mature, whereas the Toyota seems to be the more "fun" choice. Then again, neither seems to push away from their predecessors in a way that the 2018 models of both did, so I call this a wash...
From Road & Track "fewer than 1 in 10 Camry sold in the U.S. were equiped with the V6 engine" Number of Camry sold in 2023 is 290,649. Figuring about 10 percent (even though said to be "fewer than 1 in 10".) of Camry V6 leaves 29,000 (minus a possible 2,000) split among XLE V6, XSE V6, and the TuRD. It is predicted or assumed that Toyota assembles 6,000 TuRDs each year, leaving 23,000 for XLE V6 and XSE V6 as 11,500 produced each. Therefore it is estimated 6,000 TuRDs, 11,500 XLE V6, and 11,500 XSE V6 were made in 2023. However, because of price differential I would believe that at least 1,000 to 2,000 more XLE V6 were produced than the XSE V6. If prioritizing from the lowest to the highest production numbers it would be TRD, XSE V6, and finally XLE V6. As for the other trim levels with 2 types of powertrain as 9 remain for the 2024 Camry as they are, LE and LE Hybrid, SE and SE Hybrid, SE Nightshade, XLE and XLE Hybrid, XSE and XSE Hybrid. For 2025, instead of 12 variations of the Camry in the 8th Generation there are only 4 in the 9th Generation and they are all Hybrids starting with the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE, all with the option of either FWD or AWD. The plain/gasoline only Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) 4-cylinder and V6 are no longer used in production. Everything Hybrid. The demise of the Camry is here with the 9th Gen. 2025 Camry Hybrids as it is slow, lame, and Ugly inside out. Goodbye Camry!
Yea but crossovers don't handle as good as sedans. As good as the cx5 handles it is good for a crossover. Also mpgs it's no contest. Saying this as a cx5 owner, just pointing out why someone would consider these
I agree almost. SUV's typical have more body roll. The Mazdas are great. They have a torsion beam rear. Not something generally considered a handling attribute. But ride and comfort are pronounced. They are a little cheaper for the manufacturer as well. Most people could not tell the difference in their day to day commute. Personally. Honda, Toyota Mazda and Subaru are all a great choice. I might still avoid Mitsubishi & Nissan. Although they are making strides in the right direction.
Biggest differences here: 1. The Honda uses direct injection (with no port injection to keep the intake valves clean) in all Accord models, and turbos in some models, while the Camry uses neither in any model, so the Camry's motor will be more reliable and cheaper to maintain. 2. AWD availability for all models of the Camry, and none for the Accord. 3. While the fully loaded XSE Camry is slightly more expensive than the Touring Accord, the Camry is offered with a hybrid as standard in all trims while the Honda is not, and the Honda's beginning buy-in price to get the hybrid is thousands more than the Camry's. 4. Camry is always quieter. 5. Camry is always more powerful. 6. Camry always returns superior fuel mileage, especially real-world fuel mileage, not just window sticker EPA estimates.
You can also remote start the Camry. There is just not dedicated remote start button on the remote but you can remote start it. Of the two vehicles, I'd choose the Camry.
Its been MANY years, probably since my childhood that the Camry has a better looking interior than the Honda accord. Really glad they stepped up in that respect.
Part of the ownership experience is the dealer service. Having a competent service department AND no upsells of premature and unneeded services by the service writer has become a bit of a unicorn hunt.
Honestly the Camry for me all day, more power, same mpg, AWD, pano roof, much sportier design on both the inside and outside. The Accord doesn’t look bad, it’s just boring when compared to the Camry. Thought Honda would’ve added AWD to the new accord but they didn’t. Im also pretty sure the Camry offers memory seats and rain sensing wipers on the XLE
I love the sophisticated look of the Accord interior, prefer the Camry exterior. Prefer the Toyotas hybrid probably overall. Accord has amazing amounts of space.
Particularly in the lower trims the Camry is much superior to the Accord IMO. Compare the Camry LE to the Accord LX for standard features, gas mileage, etc. The Camry is definitely better - no comparison really.
Guys, does Camry come with a spare tire? You guys did not cover that in the review. I know Honda does not have a spare (I drive a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring Model)
I feel Toyota always makes a better product. I own a Honda Crosstour 2015 ready to upgrade, but Honda never fixed the Push start problem I had to live with.. Looks like a Toyota for me.
Camry, but it's close on the models you chose. If you compare high trim, FWD Camry vs. Accord Touring I believe the Camry price point difference will be significant.

@@DEZ2255-hg2yd yes, and I also thinks that plays apart on age. The Accord looks more mature (Accountant) while the Camry looks more youthful (Uber/Gig driver).

Toyota is really going off these recent years love to see it
One thing you could not consider is the dealership experience.
Anyone want the name of the dealership, hit me up
What’s the dealership?
@@redhood2171 so sorry I didn't see your message. Toyota of Hemet. Formally Gosh Toyota. Hemet California .
Camry for the win. Spare tire, sportier looks, AWD, better fuel economy, and the two tone (black roof) looks amazing - especially in supersonic red!
Accord by an absolute mile
If this were the accord vs 8th gen XSE v6 then I’d say it’s a toss up but lean slightly towards the XSE v6
Cry harder😂
Camry 2025 smokes the accord from inside and out by many miles 😂😂😂😂
@@ibrahimbashir6634 in space driving dynamics build quality suspension polish NVH no it doesn’t
I agree with you however the Camry is still a good product, I actually made a video about my thoughts/opinions on the new Camry
@@ibrahimbashir6634maybe but the Accord smokes the Camry in terms of exterior design + both have good interiors so it doesn’t matter
Yea well that’s you it rather get the Camry looks more sporty and faster the accord has the same design and and honestly nothing impressive
you may also put the IIHS rating for all the vehicles reviewed. Safety should not be overlooked when buying a vehicle.
I think the Camry has it on the fob. You have to press the lock 3 times and on the 3rd press you hold the button.
It does have it, i have the XSE Camry

Need a review on the 2024 Hyundai Sonata Limited Hybrid, very few reviews on that specific vehicle trim
Wait till you pull the stats for other markets. Camry hybrid outsells V6 any day. If you want a sporty V6, Camry is not the way to go.
Buying a sedan for $40k when you can get a small suv like mazda cx 5/50 with 256hp, that drives and handles better for less is INSANE.
Accord all the way.
That new Camry is looking pretty good and with AWD
🔥😍👌🏻💯
Both very competitive cars
Accord is sportier , has better material but Toyota has better power train and reliability
Both super solid...but Accord gets destroyed in the sound test. Hard pass onnthe noisy interior.
Revised tires make a differences
Between these two, which one has better visibility for short people ?
Guys, does Camry come with a spare tire? You guys did not cover that in the review. I know Honda does not have a spare (I drive a 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring Model)
I have seen like 3 different recalls on the new accord so far
The Camry XLE trim has memory seats and rain sensing wipers on the premium package but not the XSE
I feel Toyota always makes a better product. I own a Honda Crosstour 2015 ready to upgrade, but Honda never fixed the Push start problem I had to live with.. Looks like a Toyota for me.
How loud is the Accord interior on the road vs. the Camry? I find Toyota in general being much quieter.
Honda has been winning Formula 1 races for the past 2 years Bose sound system is also a a winner!
Camry, but it's close on the models you chose. If you compare high trim, FWD Camry vs. Accord Touring I believe the Camry price point difference will be significant.
Love Honda and Toyota but reluctant to by the Accord due to the lack of AWD.
I wonder how the 2025 Camry will match up with the 2025 Honda Accord?
Do some research first before commenting
Great review !! No losers on these two soild sedans.
Accord is the looser here
Throttle House summed up the Accord and Camry very well. The Accord looks like something an Accountant would drive, and the Camry looks like something a Uber Driver would drive.
I agree. Now that we can finally see them side by side, the Accord looks a lot more sophisticated.
The new Camry has far more personality than the new Accord, so, if anything, it's the opposite.
@@DEZ2255-hg2yd yes, and I also thinks that plays apart on age. The Accord looks more mature (Accountant) while the Camry looks more youthful (Uber/Gig driver).

@@thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 have you spent any time with both cars? This came straight out of professional Journalist mouths, who get a chance to review vehicles in a much higher caliber than Camry and Accord. You would think that they would have a better perspective on cars than someone who’s sitting at home judging from photos.
I've owned both cars in slightly older models, and I'd definitely say that if you want to have fun dribbling on the road, you should choose the Camry. If you want German technology, you should choose the Accord.
Very helpful. Iam actually cross shopping both of these models in these trims right now.
The Accord Touring model is my dream car!
Didnt mention no heated steering wheel for accord in America

Why not compare '24 hybrid sport or the '25 honnda
For the camry i recommend the xle it has the most luxury feel and look. Id only get the xse if i want more sporty.
One of the main reasons I wouldn’t choose the Honda is bc it’s only front-wheel drive && has NO option for AWD
Enjoyed the review. I’ve put a reserve deposit down on the new Camry. If I like the drive I’ll be trading my Accord. Just fun facts too the XLE has memory seats and rain sensing wipers so those are available features just like the Accord Touring. I’m looking at the XLE with the Premium plus package.
Did you end up getting the Camry?
