Just learned a new stitch, thank you. Love the closeup, the distinctive color difference to easily show the stitches, however can you secure the camera so it’s not jumping around? I’ve watched several of your videos now, and my stomach is churning. That would be SO much better. Thank you.
Thank you FQS -- excellent tutorial on how to make the Smyrna stitch! Look forward to learning how to make other specialty stitches! Will it be possible to have a list of all your cross stitch tutorials on how to make these specialty stitches for easy reference (eg. maybe somewhere on your website?). Many thanks!
Hello Sylvia! Start and finish the same way as with a regular stitch - start with either a loop start or ‘tail’ to be caught as the stitch progresses and finish by running the thread under the Smyrna stitch a couple of times.
I have never heard of this stitch before. Love the new cross stitching content, I am learning so much. Thank you Cherly and Kimberly!
Thanks! I just had to do this stitch and Cheryl's explanation and demonstration made it simple and turn out great.
Thank you for showing the Smryna. Think I'm going to to use that stitch for fireworks on July cottage of the month. Yeah!
Thank you FQS and Cheryl. Please know I appreciate these little lessons.
Thank you! These short how to videos are so helpful! Keep up the great work FQS and Cheryl!
Great tutorial and instructions. Love the close up especially to see the details as if I were seating right besides you. Thank you.
Thank you for the refresher, Cheryl!
Wonderful!! Thank you so much!!❤
Very very helpful video! These were way easier than I thought. 😂 Thanks, FQS and Cheryl!

Thank you!! Now we all know how to do it!!!

Thank you for this quick tutorial. I panicked a little when I saw Smyrna stitches were in the new Chalk Full pattern. ❤️ Megan
Thanks so much for the tutorial! This is so helpful as I am working on 2 projects using the Smyrna stitch! ❤️👍🏻
thank you! Can you do some other videos on creating other specialty stitches?
Very helpful 😄
You made it look so easy, thank you!
Excelente 👍
Thank you for this. I can see using this in place of french knots which I really do not like.
🤗. Thank you, very helpful!
Stitch seems simple enough but can you explain how to anchor the start of thread and how to finish the thread?

I have never used or seen one of these stitches. How are they indicated on the pattern as they are 1 1/2 times as big as a regular stitch on aida?
🙏

Have to disagree. A Smyrna Cross is done with the X first then the straight up cross.
Can’t wait to see your video tutorial also! Many things can be accomplished by different methods. Always nice to see tips from others.
🤗. Thank you, very helpful!
