When these cars get out here to the Puget Sound area the trains carrying them are protected from meets on curves along the Sound, even though most of the main is double track. The fuselage cars are switched out at Mukilteo, and the tall tuscan-colored cars are set out(they go to Boeing Everett up the 6.25 percent branch). The fuselage cars then head south to Interbay, where they stay until The Renton Rocket local takes them into the Boeing 737 plant at Renton. Very cool cars, and an interesting operation.

So they didn’t go to any American Airlines? Guess that means we are shipping jobs out of this country!

@@Mrcharles. Boeing has been the planemaker to the world since 1958. Airbus' entry into the market in 1970 didn't change the fact that Boeing sells to airlines of every country. Building these airplanes for foreign countries creates TONS of American jobs. After Americans build these airplanes they are sold to the foreign buyer.

How do they ship the wings and tail assembly?

    • @erikk77
      @erikk77 5 ปีที่แล้ว

The winds are made in Renton, WA. No need to ship them. www.reuters.com/article/us-boeing-737-assembly/boeing-starts-building-737-wings-with-new-automated-system-idUSKBN0MA02520150314
Many components are not built by Boeing but are outsourced to other manufacturers both in the US and increasingly around the world. This may be either for cost savings in production, specialist development or as an incentive for that country to buy other Boeing products. Here is a list of some of the outsourced components:
Fuselage, engine nacelles and pylons - Spirit AeroSystems (formerly Boeing), Wichita.
Slats and flaps - Spirit AeroSystems (formerly Boeing), Tulsa.
      Doors - Vought, Stuart, FL.
      Spoilers - Goodrich, Charlotte, NC.
Vertical fin - Xi'an Aircraft Industry, China.
Horizontal stabiliser - Korea Aerospace Industries.
Ailerons - Asian Composites Manufacturing, Malaysia.
Rudder - Bombardier, Belfast and AVIC subsidiary Chengfei Commercial Aircraft (CCAC), China
Tail section (aluminium extrusions for) - Alcoa / Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing, China.
Main landing gear doors - Aerospace Industrial Development Corp, Taiwan.
      Inboard Flap - Mitsubishi, Japan.
      Elevator - Fuji, Japan.
      Winglets - Kawasaki, Japan.
Fwd entry door & Overwing exits - Chengdu Aircraft, China.
Wing-to-body fairing panels and tail cone - BHA Aero Composite Parts Co. Ltd, China.
