I have been a handballer guy for over a decade. They have always been in my rotation. And I own over 400 pairs today. My uploads dont lie. I did a short recently on mine because its hilarious to me they are popular. Ive always been into adidas. Since the Korn song.
Adidas Superstars are definitely my #1 pick, and personally they’re much better to wear compared to the others since they all have suede and you can only take them out on nicer days. But with the fully leather Superstars, you can take them out whenever and the shell toe doesn’t crease like the AF1 (for those that care about creases). But I do like the Sambas as I have a pair as well, and the Gazelles and Campus 00’s are great too!
I used to have some Samba's in my usual size which were unwearable. I now have 2 pairs of Spezials 0.5 size up and I love them. Just picked up the green sporty & rich version for summer!
One variation you missed - the Samba Deconstructed - incredibly soft and comfortable leather - def more of a luxury shoe feel than a sneaker- very light and 'crushable' when packing for a trip as a bonus. More comfortable than the OG Sambas - especially in the heel and tongue that I (and others) feel can be a bit 'rough' on the OG's.... They are priced higher due to the much higher quality leather.
With the Gazelle I have to replace the insole just to get a good fit, besides that it's an alright comfortable short distance casual wear. SL's are getting more readily available and has a couple of vibrant colourways and are very comfortable (more so than my Gazelle or even an Air Max 1/AM1 86 OG). Top tip: if your after a soft knit version of the same sneaker that's usually in faux leather, go half a size down. With nylon uppers you can go both ways (true or half-a-size down) since nylon has a good amount of keeping it's shape and also having enough stretch.
1. Sambas 2. Gazelles (I have two pair of Gazelles, just not the Indoors. I need a pair of the Indoors) 3. Spezials (I need to get a pair of these as well. I bought my daughter a pair...maybe I need to put them on my Father's Day gift list) 4. Superstar 5. Campus (I like the 85's better than the 00's)
Love this video. I got into Adidas early this year and love searching for unique colors to buy. Do you have any tips on how to stop them from squeaking? Especially the Gazelles and Sambas. I would love to see a video if you have any suggestions.
In the Netherlands the Campus is most popular. When I go to any mall, half of the shoppers is wearing the fat Campus. I rarely ever see the regular Samba here. It sort of feels like people got rid of their air force 1 and got the campus.
i bought a pair of sambas and i think they’re so cute but it feels like walking on the floor, really neutral and def looks really good. and also i have wide feet but bought a whole size down just for the fit to feel snug and it feels amazing
Currently I am an Adidas trainer head . I have 6 different Adidas trainers and all are in rotation For me 1. Bad bunny campus 2. Sean wotherspoon gezelle 3. Samba I need a pair of campus 2000 and spezial now
The Sambas are my favorites when i comes to shape color ways and collabs . I do like the gazelle but the weird ramp on the sole is something that kinda bothers me hah
I played football, I used to have those mercurials, predators, I still have kept my pair of these, very expensive for the time, Nike Hypervenoms that costed me $350 in 2012 which were pretty technical, I used them for when I played football nationals (not American football) and although these were cleats for natural turf, I also played indoor football with my homies when we were 5-6 guys passing time as well as for practicing freestyle, so I also had these sick nike mercurial indoor shoes that had a shape like these sambas (but better shape than sambas IMO) and I used to were them also as sneakers every day. People used to complement me on those back then, especially those who didn’t play football and didn’t know what those were. Too bad I wasn’t a celebrity, or else, those mercurials would have been trending back in 12 way before these sambas. Those mercurial indoors also didn’t cost too much, I used to buy them for $40-$50. Nike used to be such a price friendly brand back then, now it’s become some overpriced BS, all thanks to American basketball.
I like how vintage these designs from Adidas are. They suited well for kidcore outfits (Wearing colored shirt with overalls) to fit with nostalgia. To me, I'd go with Gazelle or Gazelle 85 for that scenario. Thanks for the comparison! PS. Could you give SL 72 RS a shot? That shoe has more nostalgic colorways.
@@JoshDominic Aight. Better review much lesser known SL 72 RS coz this one is underrated as hell. Too bad, I can't collab as much since I was busy and lived in the Philippines so I can't go to different country yet so sorry rip. Better luck next time though!
I don’t care how popular these are. It’s a never for me. It’s a girly dork shoe. You would have been stuffed in the locker if you wore these back in the day. And rightfully so
I know its not on your list but my fave has to be the Towelie Campus' 80's with the extra keychains hidden in the secret pouches behind the tongues, the towel-like material and the red eyes when hit by the shining sun hahaha.
@@JoshDominic Superstars was my school shoe and now it's my college/ internship shoe lol. Where I live it's not that popular of a shoe, but it's my favorite shoe from Adidas besides ultra boost because of its comfort. Do you have a pair of Ultra boost ?

I have an E wide foot so I can’t wear most models but for some reason the handball stretches nicely and still works so that’s my favourite
Handball is wide foot friendly and has softer materials

Thank you for a very informative video for a first time sneaker buyer looking to buy Adidas.
Where would place the Rivalry 86 lows in terms of sizing?
Rivalry lows to be are TTS
Spezials over everything

Gazelle indoors are top! Just copped the Sporty and rich handball spezials(my first spezials)

Still love stan smith
I rock with the Forums mostly as I find them the most comfy. Once in a while, the Stan Smith.
Thanks for the helpful videos. Which one has the highest heel (midsole height) ? b/c it matters for someone who is not tall
I think the Spezial has the highest heel
@@JoshDominic Thank you!!

Grabbed some sambas from kith recently. So weird in 😊 i used these for indoor soccer and now they are so popular. Cool. 👍🏾

Expected as these particular shoes have no to little cushion. Perhaps you need to look in a very different Adidas like the NMDs and the Ultraboosts.
No Stan Smiths???
Women’s shoes only. Thank you!
Campus one of the more comfortable shoes I own
More love to my brother!!!❤
Thank you
Gazelle is the beast
Samba is favourite though handball is comfy
Superstar xlg..samba xlg for me😊
idk, for me, 80s > 00s
I like it
I thought everyone was rocking the outdoor version of the gazelle with the t shape not this new one with this extended shit
the indoor version seems to be more popular

hello
Ehhh I still prefer the GATs that adidas makes
Yea those nice but not easily

Ok....embarassing question. The first 3 look so much alike - what is the actual difference?
Sizing is different, toe box as well and shape
