    Hi, thanks for the review. I'd just add that it would have been helpful to show how the armour fits in to the pouches. Not intuitive haha

    I have a £60 pair of Amazon (Vaster - not CE rated) jeans but feel I can do better. Ordered Oxford AA jeans from your shop, thanks.

    I am a 34 regular. Had to buy 34 short. The regular were far too long, although fit of 34 long was better, the knee armour sat far too low even when on the bike. The black ones are less stretchy than the blue. I did buy the Richa carter but found the material between the crotch and waist band too small- I think they call them low rise. After wearing £60 eBay Kevlar lined jeans the fit isn’t right yet but that’s probably because I’ve worn the cheaper ones a lot.

    Will you be doing a review of the AAA version of these that have just been released?

      Yes, absolutely. We're expecting to set that live in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    New to biking - Been looking at AAA jeans, but the choice seems to be a bit poor.
    Would AA rated jeans be good enough for all road riding? Im not planning to rip it up motorways on a sportsbike, more cruising speed type. I know they can both be fitted with the same armour, so its just abrasion rating really?

      The level of pass is down to abrasion, resistance to bursting forces at the seams, and ability to resist tears. As for whether a particular level is to the job, that's a decision we all have to make every time we get on a bike. Perhaps the best way to answer is that I frequently wear a pair of these jeans when commuting on a 70-mile round trip. So my calculation is they are good enough for me. As for how they'd actually perform in an accident, that's something I hope I never have to find out. Sorry if that seems a non-committal answer, but I hope it helps you. Cheers, Tony

    Anyone any idea which way the hip armour should be inserted? Each pad is an irregular shape with a number of notches cut into it. I guess I could just trial and error to see which way is most comfortable, but it would be handy to know if Oxford have published the ‘correct’ way. Thanks

      I've just been for a look at a pair and I'd suggest having the edge with three notches pointing towards the front, and the smooth surface towards your skin. I hope you find that comfortable. Cheers, Tony

    Does D30 armour fit in the Oxford AA - AAA jeans?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      D3O Ghost knee and hip armour will fit in the AA jeans reviewed here, though the hip armour is smaller than the pocket and may need positioning properly within the pocket. It's the same for the newer Oxford Original Approved AA jeans, and the AAA model. The hip pocket on the AAA model is better suited to the Ghost armour. Reviews of the newer jeans models are both coming soon. Cheers, Tony

    These AA rated jeans are £139.99. The £119.99 jeans do not state what A rating they are. But as I write this are reduced to £80.00.

      The jeans in this video are now superseded, so these are the ones that are reduced to £79.99. The replacement model jeans are the ones that cost £139.99 (video review to come on those). Cheers, Tony

      I'm confused. Are the reduced priced jeans AA rated please?

      Apologies for delay - yes, the reduced jeans are AA
