They give us a Paradise Pause.
      What they did for us,
      It to be appreciated forever.
      My Dad was resting,
      Slowing down,
      One year exactly today.
He was worried, his voice had gone.
I played a baking show,.then tuned him to watch
The winemaking at home in Positano..he was happy
I assured him we would get a wine press
Travel to Italy as soon as possible.
      He was folding his blanket
Asked me if I had the tickets to go to the airport.
We would go in his car ...
      I tucked him in
Said goodnight after our trip to Positano.
      He passed the next morning,
Hopefully had dreams of making his own wine in Paradise.
      Nicki,
      Carlo,
      Yiur Family
Gave Daddy the bedtime story he needed to rest in peace.
You are loved by so many people.
I'm certain if anything ever happens,
      You needed to relocate,
A huge circle of friends you have not yet met
Would make a chain to assure your safe passage.
You have given so much to so many and we are very grateful.
May you be blessed in all of your endeavors.
      You share all your Labor,
We get a glimpse of Paradise.❤

Making me think perhaps I should add a new addition, it’s nice to have help when working in the garden. Love the vision you’re creating of the pool area. The fountain would be a lovely addition, and also can be enjoyed from the revised patio area. Happy Sunday Nicki & Carlo! So, those little flowers @ 8:15 that are clusters of orange/red/yellow are called Lantana. They are lovely flowers, that look gorgeous and spread quickly and heavily, which, in some locations, make them invasive. Pollenators love them (bees, butterflies, etc) but certain varieties of Lantana are poisonous to dogs. I just thought I'd share that with you, although I'm sure the garden center would tell you this as well.
*Source:* I'm an apartment manager and have had Lantana at my community, prompting long discussions with our landscape designer.❤

How right you are, Lantana. I didnt realize, being a Florida native, how many of our tropical plants grow in Tuscany. Those Lantana are very salt tolerant and grow near the ocean, too. Love them! Here we plant Butterfly Gardens of special selections of native plants that will bloom and provide year round for the butterflys. In Florida we are famous for honey. There is even a Hollywood film "Yuley's Gold" (check spelling) about it. Around Easter Sunday, circa 1513 the Spanish conquistador, Juan Ponce de Leon discovered our state and named it "Las Floridas", we also have the oldest city in the US, St Augustine, FL!

(Bravo👏)also you Nicki, you have great imagination also and a talent of visualizing the way you want things and in the end it all works out and looks great. A lot of hard work you two are putting in the house projects but when it’s all done you will enjoy it for years to come ( God bless you both) so much hard work. The pool will look amazing when it’s all done😊. Nicki hope you feel better after your fall.

We had an above ground pool that was set into a bank in our yard and my husband built a very large deck all around the pool, it made it look like an in ground pool when finished. We ended putting the decking over the ledge of the pool and liked it best that way. With supports under and all around, it kept any pressure off the side ledges around the pool. We had the pool for 27 yrs. All of our children and grandchildren jumped off the deck into the pool regularly and never had any issues with it. If you do that be sure your liner has a lip connector in case you ever need to change out your liner. Which we did do once during those 27 yrs. Great investment…

Happy Sunday afternoon to you both! We enjoyed your side trip for ideas on landscaping around your pool. Yes, the cicadas are sooooo noisy! When we lived in Texas, we couldn't escape them each summer. Now in southern Arizona, the cicadas surface now & then; mostly when it's raining (which isn't very often). Do be extra careful of the heat. The two of you are young, but dehydration can creep up on you unexpectedly. Nicki, not to be intrusive (but I guess I am), please take care of your bones. Talk to your doctor about a bone scan and don't let osteoporosis catch you off guard. We appreciate your hard work in getting these videos out every week and we very much enjoy our Sunday mornings with the two of you! Take care & be safe.
