- Back in beautiful Albuquerque, NM visiting some filming locations from one of my favourite TV shows 'Better Call Saul'.

Jesse's house from BB is pretty much only a corner away from Chuck's house, I find that pretty fascinating.
I wonder if Jesse ever sold Chuck drugs!
Calling it now, Chuck's house being canonically close to Jesse's house will play a role in Season 6. Someone in r/bettercallsaul made a great post detailing how Walter and Jesse's cameo could be done through Jimmy returning to Chuck's house location for memories or payback, then seeing a drugged Krazy-8 stumbling out of Jesse's house after he was kidnapped.
@@davidci Season 6 of BCS (should be set around 2004) is still years before that event of Breaking Bad (2008), so that theory sadly doesn't make much sense.

BB starts in 2008.
@@davidci the photo they showed has Walter with his shaved head so I doubt that how the cameo will go out but I like that Idea
Still live in ABQ and love recognizing places within both the series. In fact my mother used to work in the same building as the Hamlin Hamlin offices, and saw them filming more than once.
That's cool! Somebody else just told me that building might also have been used in one of the many other movies filmed in ABQ recently, maybe a Marvel show or something??
True. For us, the best character on the show is the Duke City. For most people, it's a really cool show, but for us, it's trying to figure out every location ("I know that place!") which adds an extra layer of fun for residents.
My aunt works at the other building across the way! I’ve actually been inside the conference room they’re always in a few times! The company is called rinchem lol.

I have lived in ABQ once long ago as well and I can attest to the fact that so much of nothing happens in ABQ all day any day that a film crew showing up in an office building would not only be the highlight of ones day but in fact the highlight of their life.

After the intro, as you started driving, I had this weird feeling that the skateboatding twins are about to hassle you faking a car accident. Thanks for the video! Can't wait for season 6.

The scene in BB that is supposed to be Alaska is also in ABQ
@@ScarePig3 Oh wow I would've never guessed that in 1000 years. I didn't think it was actually in Alaska but I figured it was at least in Colorado or something
I think with the possible exception of a couple of scenes shot in California, every on location scene in both shows is shot in ABQ.
@@Patrick.Weightman well its kinda part of the rocky mountain range. There a ski resort there so its a legit alpine environment. A big thing that freaks out east coasters is that a little elevation can basically take you into another world.
@@opinion56 Honestly i didn't even realize there were mountains in new mexico at all, I just very heavily assumed it was all desert and shrubland 🤣🤣
So two things I find funny about this is that we have/had a local lawyer here in Abq named Ron Bell that some would say Saul was modeled after. Now we have other lawyers here in town with their billboards (like the one shown in your intro), like "Hurt? Call Burt!" that model themselved after Saul.

I actually walked into the HHM building during work hours. I walked up the stairs and took shots from the balcony. I even did the "Chuck walk of shame" as I made my way back down the stairs. Thankfully nobody was in the lobby at the time and I was able to get lots of pictures and videos.
We went in there a couple of years ago. We were stopped at the front door and said we couldn't take pictures, out of respect to the people who actually worked there. I understand that but it kinda sucked, I would have loved a few shots from the balcony! You must've been there on a good day. :)
Great video! I lived in Albuquerque for 9 months in 1996 and worked one block over from the BB laundromat/meth lab and one reason enjoyed watching Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul was pointing out the many locations I had observed during my time there. While you're there grab a Blake's Lottaburger!
Love a Blake’s! First meal I ever ate in the USA back in like 2004.

I love how the day spa they literally recreated the sign perfectly but changed the phone number just enough for people to not bother it.
The way you put these videos together is very nice! Great watch. I just rewatched Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul for the millionth time and I'm already considering watching it again because it's so difficult to let these characters go

I’ve never seen Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul but as someone from Albuquerque I enjoy watching the filming location videos. Today I learned that my doctor’s office (the Hamlin/Hamlin/McGill office in the show) is actually famous, haha! Thanks for the tour!

I live in the UK . But lived in NM for 19 years. Loved it! Miss Albuquerque so much. Great video. Brought back precious memories.
Glad you liked it! Where in the UK do you live? As I mention in this video, my best friend growing up (in Newcastle) was from Albuquerque, and then when I moved to Cardiff in Wales after university a guy I worked with's mother lived out in Madrid NM! Small world....
I live in Chipping Barnet, Herts. My goodness Madrid know it well. Yes small world. My husband was from Albu. We lived Rio Rancho. Many of his family were from Golden. Knowing Madrid I expect you know Golden. Sadly he died 2018 and I returned here to live to be near family. From our house we could see the Sandias. Miss the casinos! I’m so glad you liked it there. Also Cottonwood Mall was where I shopped for for all those years. Brought tears to my eyes.
@@Sparkles505 Sorry for your loss. My high school friend moved back there a few years ago and lives in Rio Rancho. It's a nice side of town; love the views of the Sandias, especially on stormy days or when the balloons are up! I'm working on a second video right now with more views of the city/surrounding countryside so you'll have to check that out when it comes out.
@@peanutismint Yes RR is beautiful. Never missed one fabulous balloon fiesta. Used to frequent the tramway too. Such a wonderful life there. I was so homesick since this Sunday would have been our 21st wedding anniversary, hence checking out videos on NM. Will sub and keep eye on your videos. Ps. My maiden name was Turner!!
The location scouting for BB & BCS is so on point.
I worked as an extra on Better Call Saul, one episode, I think it was early in the second season. They filmed in a federal building downtown, over the course of the day and evening. I was in a scene where Saul is talking on a cell phone in the hallway, I was about 5ft behind Saul in the shot. I have yet to find the episode with the scene. I'm moving back to Santa Fe and hope to get back into extra work again. Nice video and commentary.

Did the BB Tour 4 years ago on vacation from the UK , loved every minute and would love to see ABQ again sometime in the future god willing !!

I remember when they were filming the Dead Drop Location.. Saw all the lights and film crew. It's been pretty cool to be a random places even at my job to see Better call Saul filming. I do land surveying so i'm all around the city and always see filming going on ... Nice video

Thanks for this awesome video. We have been to ABQ multiple times, the first time we did the RV tour and saw a lot of locations, and have since scoped out some BCS ones. You have a couple here that we have not visited so thank you - we plan to go back next year! If you do another video I will definitely watch!

Such a good video!!! I grew up there, from a long line of New Mexicans. Thank you for focusing on the positive. It’s an easy place to point out the things it lacks. But I find Albuquerque to be beautiful and the people to be authentic and cool.

I grew up in Albuquerque and lived there for many years. I grew up in the same heighborhood as the Octopus Car Wash where Skyler laundered the money from Walter Whites Drug empire and Taco Sal where Jesse and Walt and Jesse had dinner with his girlfriend and son. Later I purchased my home in the South Valley near Isleta Blvd. and Blake where Gus made that famous Chicken and Mike got his ass kicked. OH! How I miss Albuquerque! It's certainly changed after Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul You missed a few spots, one to mention, the EL CAMINO Resturant on 4th street where Kim would meet with some of her clients and the Namesake of the movie with the same name. Great video!❤

I was installing furniture in the building with the staircase as they were filming. Pretty weird trying to do my job. Every time I needed parts we would have to wait for a pause in the filming to leave our room.

Visiting ABQ has always been my pleasure, long before Breaking Bad. I love riding the Sandia Peak Tramway, wandering around Old Town, visiting the nuclear science museum. You have a great city!!
something i thought was that they go all the way upstairs for the meeting room and viewing outside it looks much closer to the ground then it should. so it makes sense that its a different building

Twisters has allways been one of my favorite places to get a burrito in abq (3rd to blakes and golden pride). I was definetly excited to find out it was the location of Los Pollos Hermanos.
