True. For us, the best character on the show is the Duke City. For most people, it's a really cool show, but for us, it's trying to figure out every location ("I know that place!") which adds an extra layer of fun for residents.

I have lived in ABQ once long ago as well and I can attest to the fact that so much of nothing happens in ABQ all day any day that a film crew showing up in an office building would not only be the highlight of ones day but in fact the highlight of their life. Thank you for proving that.

@@Patrick.Weightman well its kinda part of the rocky mountain range. There a ski resort there so its a legit alpine environment. A big thing that freaks out east coasters is that a little elevation can basically take you into another world.
So two things I find funny about this is that we have/had a local lawyer here in Abq named Ron Bell that some would say Saul was modeled after. Now we have other lawyers here in town with their billboards (like the one shown in your intro), like "Hurt? Call Burt!" that model themselved after Saul.

I lived in Albuquerque for 9 months in 1996 and worked one block over from the BB laundromat/meth lab and one reason enjoyed watching Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul was pointing out the many locations I had observed during my time there. While you're there grab a Blake's Lottaburger!
I actually walked into the HHM building during work hours. I walked up the stairs and took shots from the balcony. I even did the "Chuck walk of shame" as I made my way back down the stairs. Thankfully nobody was in the lobby at the time and I was able to get lots of pictures and videos.
We went in there a couple of years ago. We were stopped at the front door and said we couldn't take pictures, out of respect to the people who actually worked there. I understand that but it kinda sucked, I would have loved a few shots from the balcony! You must've been there on a good day. :)

I live in Chipping Barnet, Herts. My goodness Madrid know it well. Yes small world. My husband was from Albu. We lived Rio Rancho. Many of his family were from Golden. Knowing Madrid I expect you know Golden. Sadly he died 2018 and I returned here to live to be near family. From our house we could see the Sandias. Miss the casinos! I’m so glad you liked it there. Also Cottonwood Mall was where I shopped for for all those years. Brought tears to my eyes.

It's a nice side of town; love the views of the Sandias, especially on stormy days or when the balloons are up! I worked as an extra on Better Call Saul, one episode, I think it was early in the second season. They filmed in a federal building downtown, over the course of the day and evening. I was in a scene where Saul is talking on a cell phone in the hallway, I was about 5ft behind Saul in the shot. I have yet to find the episode with the scene. I'm moving back to Santa Fe and hope to get back into extra work again. Nice video and commentary.
I remember when they were filming the Dead Drop Location.. Saw all the lights and film crew. It's been pretty cool to be a random places even at my job to see Better call Saul filming. I do land surveying so i'm all around the city and always see filming going on ... Nice video

I was installing furniture in the building with the staircase as they were filming. Pretty weird trying to do my job. Every time I needed parts we would have to wait for a pause in the filming to leave our room.

Twisters has allways been one of my favorite places to get a burrito in abq (3rd to blakes and golden pride). I was definetly excited to find out it was the location of Los Pollos Hermanos.
I grew up in Albuquerque and lived there for many years. I grew up in the same heighborhood as the Octopus Car Wash where Skyler laundered the money from Walter Whites Drug empire and Taco Sal where Jesse and Walt and Jesse had dinner with his girlfriend and son. Later I purchased my home in the South Valley near Isleta Blvd. and Blake where Gus made that famous Chicken and Mike got his ass kicked. OH! How I miss Albuquerque! It's certainly changed after Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul You missed a few spots, one to mention, the EL CAMINO Resturant on 4th street where Kim would meet with some of her clients and the Namesake of the movie with the same name. Visiting ABQ has always been my pleasure, long before Breaking Bad. I love riding the Sandia Peak Tramway, wandering around Old Town, visiting the nuclear science museum. You have a great city!!

I thought the Cinnabon shop is in the shopping mall in Nebraska. I'm somewhat surprised that the locations in Better Call Saul seem less well-known than Walter's house and others in Breaking Bad.

The boardroom is on the first floor closest to the stairwell, not where you were pointing. I spent many of times in that room in meetings when I worked for Sun Healthcare Group (which originally owned all of those buildings, including the 6-story one you first showed). I believe the company is called Rinchem that is now in the 3-story building with the boardroom.
The same mall Gene works at in Nebraska is the same mall he went mall walking with in Abq with old women at the end of season 3. The creators said since the Nebraska scenes are black and white nobody would notice.

My best friend (now roommate) actually lived in the apartment that was Kim Wexler's. When the crew showed up after they moved in for season 6 they actually complained about the smell of the apartment... I had also just finished film school so I put in my resume. Sadly they never called to have me work on set. Still a cool experience and a cool story.

The boardroom is on the first floor closest to the stairwell, not where you were pointing. I spent many of times in that room in meetings when I worked for Sun Healthcare Group (which originally owned all of those buildings, including the 6-story one you first showed). I believe the company is called Rinchem that is now in the 3-story building with the boardroom.

The same mall Gene works at in Nebraska is the same mall he went mall walking with in Abq with old women at the end of season 3. The creators said since the Nebraska scenes are black and white nobody would notice.

I’ve been to that Cinnabon since I live in Albuquerque and during the scene where the cab driver recognizes Saul Goodman eating in the 2nd floor, I recognized the store in the background called “Champs,” as I usually go there also.

My best friend (now roommate) actually lived in the apartment that was Kim Wexler's. When the crew showed up after they moved in for season 6 they actually complained about the smell of the apartment... I had also just finished film school so I put in my resume. Sadly they never called to have me work on set. Still a cool experience and a cool story.
