I think I've lost count of how many bands I've discovered from their live performances on this channel.
Ditto. K.e.x.p is great for that. I found these ladies and black pistol fire among many others on this show
This band is incredible, probably one of the best performances I’ve seen on KEXP. That lead singer man!

Back again OMG this gets better and better. I love this band so much, was heart broken to hear they were no longer together but follow Gem where I can and I hear there could be more The ghost ease. Please let it be true Jems voice makes me want to grab strangers, stick their face to a speaker and scream down their ears "How fucking good is she ????" More talent in this band than 100% of the ass hats that passes for "artists" these days these days.
And this is why I try to listen to as much KEXP as possible. Hate to miss anything like this band.

Minus the creepy interview where the interviewer set up questions to keep talking about her self and her orientation. totally weird but the band seemed to handle it well.

If your in the states you should be able to find it on Spotify. Slightly different line up now but they're still at it. There is an instagram page that she keeps up to date.

this performance is great! not only is the band really cool, but the host does an awesome job with conversing with the band. definitely made the group very real for me, which with other bands I find myself feeling a personal disconnect.

James Boxman I respect a lesbians choice to define their feelings..but more often than not I find it's just a word/comfort zone/preference/or some kind of conclusion they came to when they were younger.. this inhibition generally only applies to obvious fuckbois they can't stand the sight of..I suppose it could also be that bisexuals are just that much more common..but i see it as: lesbians are people too..and unless they're literally phobic.."people" will typically sex anyone who seems right to them at the time...of course an arsehole that swears by categoric notions of people will never see any opportunity to make plessure with a "lesbian". They'll probably shut down and play all their arsehole cards the first moment they feel denied. At any rate simply being a lesbian, in no way prevents someone who is 'hot' from remaining 'hot'.
If you attracted to a gay person the only thing to do is respect their feelings,preferences, and interests..as with anyone, if there's any chance for you at all, being this way will probably break the ice.

Trojan Nuclear Power Plant is exactly the place the host is referencing to. I use to live in St. Helens Oregon and as a child I have a distinctive memory of my family going to this nuclear reactor for a picnic. Yes a picnic! There was a huge recreational park filled with bbq's, picnic tables and duck ponds situated right beside, almost underneath this spooky looking monolith of a cooling tower! My only memory of this place was a near death experience as I almost drowned falling into a duck pond. I remember just looking up at this massive structure then being pulled out of the water only to get a ass-whoopin that I would never forget, even 35 years later.
Reminds me of Blonde Redhead with Cobain on guitar.
