Morning girls and boys, great episode. About the Dolphin torch, I have a mate that is a bit of a Dinosoar. I noticed a dolphin "type" torch on his bench last week, but, I looked at the front and it had four led, yellow bulbs ..... that would work I think.
You can still buy Dolphin torches. They run about $25-30. They've got 253 lumen LED lights in them now, but still use a 6v lantern battery. Average life of 75 hours battery life. I always liked chasing squid over weedy banks instead of rocks. Seemed to work better for me.
Pleasure to watch big fella! Makes us want to get out and treat ourselves to some Squiddy Did, Sea Spiders and maybe a few Vicious Fishes🙏🏼. Just waiting on some nice weather to try our new upgrade! Dolphin Torches 😂 I used to race 4wd’s with a bloke who has 7 or 8 of them strapped to the roof of his Lada Niva as his spotties, was freakin hilarious
I still have a dolphin torch but have a replacement led bulb I got from bunnings still not as bright as the modern leds but takes a beating & still works not like some of the new stuff lol.
I reckon Dolphin torches probably still the most reliable apart from battery life, you can get LED dolphin torches now battery life significantly improved but with still the old disposable battery
Cracking video Adz and Sez, those big snaps were cracking fish, goes to show if you can see the fish and they aren’t biting change it up until you get the strikes… Love the spearing 🔱
