How to build a Base in any Settlement in No Man’s Sky (IT WORKS!)

I Have been seen people ask online about whether you can build a Bass in a settlement. The main answer is no, but I figured out a way to do it by accident, so I thought I would share it with you.

I got my base in the settlement and I built a base, but now I can't build anything. Do you have any ideas why I can't anymore?

Just go 370 units away from your settlement. Set down a base computer, claim base, after it's claimed go to your edit build mode and then click move on the base computer and then start running down into your settlement with your base computer, then set your base computer in the middle of your settlement. Boom now your able to build in your settlement.

It doesn’t, my guess is he’s using mods or this was patched out. I found a new method that works though.

@@JUStCALLMEZIMM you have to build the base terminal somewhere between 200 and 300 units away, far enough away to where you can claim the site. You then have to open the build menu again, and start spamming base parts moving towards your settlement, for some reason base parts seem to have a build radius of their own that ignores the settlement’s restrictions. Once you’ve gotten base parts in the center of the settlement (this might take time, it’s finicky), you can move the base computer into the settlement. It’s screwy, but it worked for me.
