My other truck seen in the other video is an 87 4x4 22R with a Weber carb. As for manifolds go I hear the offenhauser is a better flowing manifold due to the runner design. You can find it on LC engineering's website. Also if you have a 4x4 truck and you do offroad the Weber does not like real steep angles and will bog down you can correct this by doing the "Hill climb mod" I'm pretty sure you can find a write-up on Google still.

Several things you might want to check.
      Throttle position sensor adjustment.
Coolant level/make sure there is no air in the cooling system. Vacuum leaks/The condition of the o-ring that goes around the throttle body idle adjustment screw.
All those things can give you a looping idle. If it happened after you did the timing chain I would guess that you probably have a little air in the cooling system.

    • @archaicautomotive2444

Yes if your truck is a California model you should have an EGR. Also fresh air comes from the air pump underneath the intake manifold. It injects fresh air into the exhaust ports through those large metal lines that wrap around the back of the engine.

    • @archaicautomotive2444

If you live in a state with no emissions than most of the stuff can be removed. Less clutter in the engine bay and usually a lot of these old emissions Parts don't work right after so many years.
Also it makes getting to the fuel filter a lot easier.
