- A while back I salvaged some Rainbow Eucalyptus after a storm fell a few trees. Been wanting to update my magnetic hand saw till to allow for a few more additions. After letting the boards dry for some time I figured this would be a good initial project to try out this lumber.

I am amazed by the depth of skill and attention to detail. I am looking forward to be a regular here.
Thank you!
Very nice build - the continuous grain visible on the front face looks great!
Very creative. It appears there's more involved than simply aligning the polarity of the magnetics with each other. I notice that when installing the last segment, it appears the magnets are repelling each other? A short explanation would be appreciated. Great work!
Brilliant
beautiful work. but I would like to ask for short comparison between the gyokucho, zetsaw and suizan dozuki saws. Do they feel any different when cutting? Most of my stuff is gyokucho, but I have two zetsaw katabas and I absolutely love the for joinery and dimensioning and was wondering whether or not another dozuki woud be worth it.
Wow those fingers got close to an elevated saw blade
Does the magnetization of the saw blades cause any problem when re-sharpening them?
You ain't gonna resharpen none of these them there
I've watched this twice. I's ingenious and well executed but I don't understand the need for the long rectangular piece of steel(??) embedded above the magnets.
Those are rectangular magnets not steel.
👏🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
seems like all it would take is one of those magnets to stick out a little bit and you will be jamming the cutting teeth into a magnet when you put it in there.
