    EXACTLY what I've been looking for lately - my hair's the longest it's ever been and I've been getting tired of the same sidecombs-and-braided-bun style. Thank you!

    Thank you! My daughter is going to be in a play where she needs 1920s hairdos and we are not super hair savvy so thank you for your easy and helpful demonstrations! 😊

    The last one is my fave! I've tried doing this with my hair so many times in my life and always thought I was a bit crazy for doing it. Now I know I was just trying to live with some 1920s fashion! 😍💗

    I don't know how it's taken so long for me to find this, but I'm so thankful for this video! When you said "I can't always be bothered to sleep in curlers", I think I felt it in my soul. I love my long hair, but it's painfully straight most of the time, and these styles really will help! Thanks so much!!

    That off red slightly coral is my favorite color as it really suits my skin. I tend to pick this color so often. It’s lovely on you.

    Thank you! I am working on playing with vintage hairstyles, but I don't want to cut my long locks in doing so. So thank you, these are great ideas!

    I lived with a Blach Hmong family for a year. They remained relatively unchanged until about 20 years ago. The women had incredibly long hair, many had never cut it. They would wrap their hair around their head in one direction, like this 20's tutprial, securing it with a couple of metal clips and a comb.

    when my hair is greasy i like to put it in a braided bun at the nape of the neck it's currently not long enough to wrap it into that oblong 30s shape but it creates a nice silhouette
    i've also tried th headphone buns a few times (never been brave enough to wear it out tho) it tend to like mine flatter to and i've even tried coiling it underneath the smooth part of the hair having a little bit of braid poking under a faux bob

    What lipstick are you using in the video?

    • @TheLongHairedFlapper
      @TheLongHairedFlapper  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I recall correctly, the shade I'm wearing with the red shirt is from Bite Beauty in the shade "Tannin". I think in the other clips I layered Tannin overtop of one of my homemade lipsticks (I use a base recipe from the book "Make It Up" by Marie Rayma, and tint it with pure red iron oxide).

    i'm wondering why thereare not more historical tips for actually clean hair, from when it was impossible/ indecent to wear a wash and go, blow out or loose curls or just unstyled. I guessif you wear affluentor dedicated enough to style your hair on a regular basis you'd let a professional do it, and if you didn'tcare you'd just put it in a bun
