Ah. Ballistol. I can smell this video. 🤣. I used to use Ballistol years ago. Still have a can somewhere but have switched to other cleaners/lubricannts. When I need to oil my cruciform/connector contact points I use badger snot. Its really thick and stays on for a long time. I disassemble my trigger as well to do this.

For most of my lube/cleaning, I use Ballistol. I have for a long time. Works Great on Black Powder arms too.

Interesting story behind the development of Ballistol.
Throw black powder cartridges in a solution of Ballistol and water. Stops any corrosive effects.
I also have used it for my leather knife sheaths, holsters, belts and the like.
Leather, wood and steel as intended by the Germans a hundred years ago.
It sounds like a good multi purpose product.

I have and use sooo many solvents and oils, and I seem to gravitate towards BALISTOL. Only problem is that it gets a little thick in cold weather. I clean with it, but lately I lubricant with Lucas gun oil.
It seems to be good. I’ve always liked the Lucas oil.
Balistol was designed to clean and condition wood, leather and steel. Everything a German soldier needed to take care of his rifle and gear.
Does seem like a good multi purpose product.
