      None, all new moto phones SUCK, calling them a landfill is a compliment, been waiting 2 years for an upgrade from my 2020 moto g fast, and for that price range I bought it for, there is no moto phone, so I thought “fair enough, then I will increase my budget” and I see moto g pure and g play, both of which have the same storage, worse cameras, worse, or same specs in all aspects, and are both stuck with android 11, so I again raised my budget even more, and the moto g power I expected was better, and it is in most aspects, but the fact that the cpu has less than 2/3 the capability of my current one and having it still stuck on android 11 is borderline criminal for the asking price of $300 in Canada. As well as the g stylus regular not being available in Canada and being only a tiny bit better than my current phone. Yes, the g 5g and g stylus 5g are very good phones for their price and I respect that, they are way above my budget for a phone. I hope this gets addressed to Motorola as their primary buyers, broke students like myself, we need a good phone that can store stuff, take good pictures, have good battery life, and is powerful enough to be able to run light to medium games, however motorola cannot fulfill this like they used to in 2020. There is NO excuse for poor performance other than scamming because the chip shortage has ended, and yet in Canada, the g 5g and g stylus 5g and the g power have just came out. I will give them ONE MORE CHANCE in 2023, after the chip shortage is far over, and if they still fail to improve, I will try my best to find something I can use that has stock android, available in Canada, has good specs and battery, have a good camera, and still be available for a cheap price.

    Thanks for this! A long time Motorola user, I DO love that they have pretty good budget phones, BUT HATE that they don't all update, and there are so many $#@&! Phones and names! Like, just make a single line of phones ( like a lot of the other people in the comments have said they have in other countries not the US)!
    I currently still have a Moto G stylus 2021, and for what it is, it's a pretty darn good phone. Looking to upgrade in the new year, though. Got to find the best one as far as camera - I do a lot of filming and photos - as well as battery life that isn't a million dollars!

    I hope Motorola brings more updates to their phones like Samsung is currently doing. It is time for all Android phones to receive the kind of support Apple gives their devices.

    • @TechDaily
      @TechDaily  2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Right? I have no idea why only *some* of their newest devices get Android 12 for starters. Makes no sense at all.

    • @jackle842000
      @jackle842000 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Support is a very broad term. What you mean by support? You mean you can call them and get help figuring out how to use your phone? Or you mean support by offering up a communist like game plan of control over what you can do with your phone? Unfortunately, these days, it seems androids are getting more like apples and apples getting more like androids to meet in the middle. Android use to be the "user friendly phone you own" & Apple use to be "the business phone that Apple controlled every time you blink to be virus free". Now they seemingly play almost the same roll. Now Apple feels like you're paying that premium for an aluminum casing to be. Far as I'm concerned plastics have evolved enough that they can be made to withstand the elements better as they can't be affected by corrosion if you want a waterproof do all device. The right grade of aluminum is likely tougher and better for keeping your device cool internally though. Differences in them have been closing fast over the last decade it seems.

    I just dont get it. what is the point for having so many options/flavors/varieties of phones, and whatever else products? Just gets overwhelmingly confusing in turn discouraging. I don't know why Motorola puts such confusing names on the smartphones it launches there in the United States, here in Brazil the moto G line from the end of 2021 until now in 2022 has a less messy naming:
    Moto G22
    Moto G31
    Moto G41
    Moto G42

    As I'm reading the names of all their current phones it's funny how much Motorola loves the letter G!

    • @toxikelement9186
      @toxikelement9186 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The letter represents the series it is. G series. They have other series also. G happened to be the most popular. A series can be anything. Color, body style, hardware, software, engine. In this case they have, what they call it, Moto G family. Many speculate the G standing for Google seeing as how Motorola was owned by them at one time. Moto G is android smartphones.

    I bought moto g71 5G(in India) for only 15000 RS (less then 200$) and it comes with 12 5g bands, 1080p Amoled 10 bit color display, 5000 mah battery and a very power efficient (6nm) snapdragon 695 processor. (snapdragon 695 is better then snapdragon 750g for reference) and ships with a 33 watt charger.
    Also comes with a triple camera setup (48+2+2) camera is average but performance and battery is amazing. the only downside being that it does not promise any andoid updates (currently running on android 12) but i think for sub 200$ it is great value for money.

      The latest "G" Series here in Canada is even worse than garbage and imo calling em trash would actually be considered a compliment since "another man's trash is another man's treasure". Been waiting two years for decent successors to my 2020 Moto G Power/Stylus and all we're being offered here is the lowest spec'd variants for ridiculous prices. Nope no Moto G 5G 256/6 or Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) 256/8 just 64/4 & 128/4 for a measly $400/$500 CAD all receptively. Yup forgot one other but being such an embarrassment to the series it is supposed to represent it's not even worthy of mention.

    Motorola is losing customers with their 2nd rate screens and cameras (not to mention lack of NFC on many of their phones). Also, these phones are all large bricks and, believe it or not, not everyone has big hands or like to use heavy phones (like... half the world's population). This is a very weak product line IMO.

    Moto phones are shit. I bought two of them and there's no Bluetooth. I tried to contact Motorola but they want you to join a program that bills you $55 a month for support what bullshit. They won't fix a phone I've had for two days.what a shit company, what a shit phone.

    I dont understand why all these US motorola devices have these massive bezels, while here in Europe even the cheapest moto E phones have decent front design with less chin and centered punch hole selfie cameras..

    • @PJ-gm1hb
      @PJ-gm1hb ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In EU there is more competition for phone manufacturers, buying unlocked phones is much more common. in the usa people mainly buy carrier phones, and carriers are a big part of the reason why we don't get nicer lower cost phones, I can't stand it.

    Hmmm the Moto G Stylus must be the 2022 version because the 2021 version has the Snapdragon 678 SoC .. The Geekbench 5.2 results are 542 on the single-core trial and 1,650 on the multi-core test
