One very important note: Motorola isn't known for good software updates. They barely give any security updates and you will be lucky to see one good OS update. So I wouldn't buy this phone expecting monthly security patches with 3 years of OS support. Sadly you may get 1 bigger OS update and off and on security patches for 2 years. If software updates is important to you, I would honestly stay away from all Motorola phones. If you are okay living with less software updates though, and you really need or want a stylus, this is one of your only options, but it's a good one!

Correct on the OS. Only one to android 13. last report said this particular model is getting 3 years of security patches. The 20215g model is only getting 2 years worth of security patches at last report. So a little improvement but still could be a lot better. Thanks for the review!

I went to the S22 just because I had bought 3 Moto in 6 years and I thought 4 OS upates(3 when I got it) would be nice. But one month in and I can't stand Samsung total reskin of Android

      Well, we'll see.
Just got a New (unlocked) One off eBay for $125. Just wanted a 5g phone to see how 5g is working.
Seemed a good price for New. Not open box or whatever. So it should be interesting. Because I've always thought, stylus phones are funny. Nothing like a Mobile Device, with pieces you can Lose 😂
But my Poco X3 is the worst phone I've ever owned. And I had Bricks a thousand years ago.
I do miss the Best Phone Ever,.. in my opinion.
The Axon 7. Damn, was that an awesome phone. But after a Half Dozen Years. The charging port finally gave up. I'll fix it someday. It's actually still supported, and usable today. And had an AMOLED Screen back in 2016. And Great Speakers.
If I knew, that the Poco's Specs meant nothing. I would have fixed it long ago.
But,.. I knew 5g would make a lot of crap, obsolete.
So again. This should be another learning experience, with 5g 🤗
      Funny Thing.
Just got an offer from an ebay seller,.. for a replacement charging port for my Axon.
      I'm going for it 😋
      ... tasty

Really glad to hear! A lot of times people switch from really high-end iPhones to lower end Android phones and then they get upset because they're slow. It's good to see you're enjoying your experience though! iPhones are great, but you get a lot more customization on Android

Seems like a pretty neat phone; I would love to have this Motorola instead a Xiaomi, which sooo many people in my country push down your throat because of "how good it is". It might not be the most feature packed or have the best of the best hardware but this is honestly becoming less & less important, I want one just for the stylus even if it doesn't provide me any more help than just using a finger - I just love gimmick-y stuff like this. The one main thing I look at when getting a phone is custom ROM compatibility but so far it seems that neither the previous gen or this will be having any, which is a shame.

      Only problem with that.
Is you have to purchase An Expensive Subscription.
The best way. Or something in the future.
Is purchase a phone that works with Boost.
And get the Unlimited Plan for $25 Bucks.
Whatever you buy, will pay for itself in a few months. AND. Their unlimited plan, is pretty unlimited. Up to 100 GIGS before they really start jumping on ya 😂
Plus the advantages of (preferably) buying an unlocked phone.
Companies like finding work arounds for unlocked phones. But hardware is hardware. But they are trying 😬
... the unlocked (5g) Stylus is 6gig, and 256g. but nobody needs that much 👍. ENJOY

I have the Cricket Moto g stylus 5g 2022. Just picked it up this past Wednesday. I set it up and got all updates, apps, etc done within 30-40 minutes. It's 128gb ROM, somehow 5gb RAM. I do play Call of duty mobile with this phone. The graphics are set on low, frame rate set to max. It handles the game really well. Last night I played the game for almost four hours. When I started playing I was at 100% on battery. When I logged out I was at 71%. The screen works buttery smooth. The 5g on this device is really nice. It's super fast with everything. Personally I can't see spending $1k+ on a flagship. The US does need more options when it comes to budget and mid range phones. But hopefully Moto AKA Motorola can step up and keep making phones like this and support their devices longer on a software standpoint.

Also, look at best buy. Look up the Moto G Stylus 2022 5G. You will see a 6GB of RAM and 8GB of RAM variant. It's possible that since my video they released even more variants. I was referring specifically to the 120hz screen best buy model

Not bad like you said. If you don't need a stylus there may be better values. But it's decent for the money

This is said "made for US" please I want to know if it can work outside the United States, like the UAE and Africa. Please help.

Honestly it's really hard to say. Technically yes it should work. But how well will it work? It's very hard to say. Each phone has different antennas or bands, that communicate with towers. The US has different bands/antennas as other countries. But some of them are the same. So basically this phone may communicate with 75% of the towers in Africa. But not 100%. So will it work? It depends. And some phones have more bands then others.
That's my very simplistic way of explaining it even if it's not 100% factual. Should give a basic idea of how it works. It should work, most likely if you have decent coverage overseas it should work fine. But may not communicate with every tower over there

Okay, thank you so much for the quick reply I appreciate, I'll make more enquiries to know more. Currently I live in the UAE and I like the Moto, so I wanna get it as a secondary device because I'm selling out my old one.

I've had this phone for a while now and absolutely despise it since day one... Pretty much every feature doesn't pay off .. Like Motorola wanted to be an individual and be there own thing but they're choices are sh!t! .. example you can't even edit photos the normal way.. you can only do it in ratios WHYYY! Endless annoying this like that.. Prior to this phone I'd rally hard for Motorola, make jokes about how if Motorola was still a thing they'd beat the pants off iphone joking of course but being genuine in my Love for them.. Now I'm beyond disappointed and Motorola can kick rocks! I want everyone to know how awful this phone is.. This is a cheap child's phone at most.. Go buy an adult phone.

I'm reviewing the 5G model specifically with a 120 hertz screen. There are several models of this phone so I'm not sure if we're talking about the same one. The one I'm talking about retails for $500. and it does appear to have better cameras than past Moto G Stylus phones.
but I do agree with you that if you're looking for good cameras honestly I would look somewhere else at this price. the Google pixel 6A is releasing soon and it has tremendous cameras for $450.
