- This cardioid condenser mic suuuuuure sounds pretty, and it's been thoroughly upgraded for the v2 model. But is it only for high-class recording studios, or is it also a secret weapon for creators, podcasters and streamers? Watch and find out.

Matt, this video was absolutely fantastic. Thanks so much for such a thorough demonstration of our LA-220 (V2)!
Thank you!!
Also, plosives can damage the capsule in condenser mics over time and lead to degredation. Another reason to "always use a pop filter with with condensers"
Good advice! Thank for watching.
I'm interested in this mic after watching, but I would use it for recording vocals for music. I'm not too concerned about the lack of a PAD switch, my audio interface has one. Thanks for the video!
You're welcome, and thanks for your comment. It would make a great vocal mic for many types of voices!
Great demo. Quite thorough.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Confused as to how I am only the 20th like on this video. It was absolutely a great video and very informative. You got a sub out of me. Thank you good sir
Thanks very much! It's one of my favorite condenser mics.
very warm and smooth sound great microphone for under 500$ sound like tlm193 and 2000$ sound mic
I agree, it sounds very nice. Thanks for your comment!
If you think this mic is good. You should try the LA320 tube version. It’s an absolute thing of beauty and incredible value for money. I would advise anyone who is considering a cheaper LDC to save just a little more and buy yourself an LA320, it will stop you from lusting after something better for a long time.
Lauten gave me a choice between the 320 and the LS-208 for a review mic. I went with the 208 because I thought it would be more suitable for content creators. But the 320 was def enticing. Perhaps in the future.
@@MatthewHaines oooh, that would be a tough choice. I’m a musician, not a content creator but you probably made the right choice for your audience :)
“You should always use a pop filter with a condenser microphone”
Also, doesn’t use a pop filter with his condenser microphone 😂
Hah! I hope I was a little more nuanced than that.
