I understand invite/stop crosses in the exact opposite way: invite defends narrower, giving space to the crosser and narrowing the defense around opposite strikers to stop the expected cross from connecting, while stop crosses makes wb play wider and closer to wingers, and also increase their pressing intensity to avoid that cross from ever happening.
A formation that would be good to look into is Kieran Mckenna's at Ipswich - He's got the side playing in a 3421/4231 hybrid dominating the ball and trying to get down the side and in behind teams - I've been trying to recreate this but find it tough to try mould two formations into one in the engine

I don't know how these guys are saying they are using the same tactics for every game , They didn't say it but AI reads your success and counter it , And throughout the season you have to change your tactics to win games or at least draw to adapt to many situations , I don't believe much these guys but I follow them for experience and knowledge even if I don't believe they are 100% real .
