Paik is much worse than you think. She's also spoted in minimap (for entire sector) when she use scanner and she's spoted for entire scanner duration, not only when its flashing...
Yeah they nerfed her into oblivion and these TH-camrs don’t even mention it. The ENTIRE enemy team (even people 200 meters + away) see your exact position on mini map, including putting a red dot over your head for enemies to see you. Her EMG scanner is horrible and has terrible range (20-30 meters and it can be glitchy and not even show enemies so it’s just bad). Casper with just drone is flat out superior.

Being a trained bean beret I have been trained that Casper is the best anti tank class in the game. You can attach enough C5 to his from to destroy an entire tank. The tank never even sees or notices the drone.
I think Casper deserves to be higher. His drone keeps spotting even when you stop controlling it. I just place it above an objective and I have a free UAV that just keeps spotting everyone in sight.
I think they should just make specialists sub classes for normal classes and make specialists gadgets just normal gadgets (rao or paik gadget would be removed) Basically make them Perks with skins.

Just imagining the potential historical accurate uniforms and the archetypes working as a progression tree making the top level a sort of pseudo-Elite class for the skilled players in the match.
It's crazy that most of the people don't mention (or even know about) that when using Paik's scanner, you become *constantly* visible on the minimap to all enemy players (scanned or not) for the duration of the scanning period. Explains why when you face good players, they seem to you that they knew your location beforehand and they mostly kill you.

Btw Irish actually picks up armor from the little ammo that enemies drop, so you are pretty much at 20 armor most of the time If you walk over dead players
Angel will fully restock gun ammo (at least for himself) when using one of his packs. By comparison, standing next to an ammo crate will only resupply a portion of your reserve primary/secondary ammo every, eh, 30 seconds or so I think (there's a significant cooldown). The ammo crate will resupply gadget and (I think) grenade ammo, which the throwable armor/ammo pack doesn't, but, last I checked, NOT underbarrel grenades. Those take a loadout drop.
@@tifoonlegit5768 I've been playing BF4 today and one thing I remember now is just how fast the cooldown on the crates is. You can sling medical and ammo crates around like crazy compared to BF2042! And the ammo crates in BF4, given enough time, will replenish ALL your stuff. It's a good system. Small arms primary/secondary first, then grenade, then finally gadgets like C4 or launched grenades or rockets on a slightly longer timer. It takes enough time to put you out of the fight while you replenish, but not so long that it's crippling because you'll at least have your guns back up quickly if you don't want to wait for your grenades/gadgets.
The specialists are ok in my opinion, however The way that they are being implemented does not provide Battlefeild with that classic “team play” aspect. Their abilities are kinda lazy too like why are most of the abilities include like tracking things, like wall hacks. Like that’s not interesting Dice!
Not to mention killing rangers, turning off vehicles ability to fire on you, opening captured doors and bridges, killing prox sensors and drones and killing sentry turrets
When ji soo paik uses her sensor , she's also spotted for enemies on their mini maps. Before the release many thought Paik will be the best and Angel will be worst .
Imo Casper is actually extremely good for team playing because everytime I spot the enemy team with the drone my team begins to win and also the censor has been really useful for me
Honestly I think Casper’s drone is fantastic for breakthrough especially since they nerfed the spot nades. It’s basically a uav that can make enemy vehicles useless for a short time.
Casper is actually pretty good in rush if ur attacking, especially with all the boris's running around on defenders, you can just strap a c5 to a drone, fly it to an enemy/turret, and u get the rest.
you can clearly see that some of the abilities have been designed with a battle royale style game in mind, not battlefield. they really should bring back the class system with all its perks
You forgot Irish's Shootdown Sentinel, aka "trophy system." It's a very situational gadget with a small activation radius, but it's excellent to plop down near an MCOM on Rush and take out enemy grenades flying around, for an extra layer of protection. It doesn't really change Irish's placement in the middle of the pack of specialists, but it's worth remembering that you have it in addition to the two deployable covers.

Yep. I use Casper almost exclusively. I'm on PS4 and am currently rank S003, so I'm working my way up. Bummer of they patch the drone. It's already extremely limited because nobody ever drops ammo crates in this game.
Casper seems to be pretty good for bullying tanks and other vehicles. The cooldown on the drone's EMP is very quick so as long as you keep it near the vehicle they'll only be able to get a few shots off between your EMPs.
Spawn into match as Angel with Beacon, reach frontline, drop beacon, scatter with armour for squad mates, call in supply drop to switch kit, lay mines, put piece of c5 on each mine to make it one-hit kill, switch to RPG/AA/SOFLAM and kill vehicles, switch to nades and noobtube, spam endlessly using supply drop to refill until all infantry dead, switch to meds, move up carefully, repeat. Can do everything, only specialist worth playing, bad game design.
Couldn't agree more with that list. I have personally never really used Angle. But I also wasn't aware of all the additional armor handouts and bonuses
I know Paik is not ranked well here , but I’m on t1 with her , and only specialist I use , her ability gives me a sense of awareness when I’m trying to capture or hold a point by myself.
So glad I maxed out Navin before the sensor grenade nerf lol. The only reason I prioritized him before any other character was because I’m from Pakistan. That’s literally it lol
also dont forget that angel is the first romanian soldier in the franchise, and actually one of the first characters from a small country thats not reaaaaally well too known

You can still take out armor vehicles with the c5 drone. You have to use all 3 of those c5 though. Just land the c5 drone on top the the vehicle and it blows up. Any other angle does not work.
The hacking dude is quite useful if you play with a squad. One player just hack them so they can't use flares. Rest of the team uses AA launchers. Works basically on any vehicle. So you basically have to be in a squad to have benefits from it. :)
1 thing i hate about Battlefield 2024 its baout the guns , they just give us like 3 guns per category But you is still fun to watch. Have fun on Cristmast Y'all
Irish is powerful teammate in Breakthrough as its a linear map design, placing sentinels at choke points to prevent grenade spam (more powerful x2 grenade pre-nerf)
I like giving Angel a medical crate. Fast healing, fast armoring, fast revive, infinite ammo for everyone. He is best medic. Smoke also lets me cover myself in heavy fire for some clutch revives.
This might seem like a stupid comment but I haven't bought this game yet due to it's instability and nightmarish launch. But how does the Santa specialist stack up? How good is he? Am I asking the wrong question?

Rao is pretty usefull if you are premade with a friend. Disabling flares and having a friend with lock-on is pretty OP.

The cooldown isn't the worst thing about Paik's ability. The worst thing is that when you use it you show up on the mini map for the enemy team.

I agree, I was using paik at the start to get used to the maps but then I unlocked the k30 and started using angel and Sundance and haven't gone back

For Angel: if you want to give yourself armor, just hold the gadget button, you dont have to throw it on the ground and wait for it to be picked up
