Imagine if they actually finished BF5. Im talking about adding Russians, D-Day, battle of Berlin or more secondary class perks, centry kits. Even in BF5 there was so mamy missed opportunities, yet still great and fun game.
That would be amazing imagine if EA managed to make the right scenarios and added Berlin or other interesting Frontlines in ww2 just like they did a good job with bf1 with the amazing atmosphere there
The sliding, crouch sprinting, class system...MAP DESIGN. GUNPLAY...The list goes on. IT ALL FELT INCREDIBLE. What fucked this game up was the release trailer with the barbarian lady and the prosthetic arm but GAMEPLAY wise, the game is outstanding and has some of the BEST features in any Battlefield game. I was hoping for 2042 to have the same mechanics but boy was I disappointed.
Haters fucked up this game and DICE who listened too much the community about changing TTK and so on...I was not fan of not much famous maps(battles in ww2) but the game itself was decent.

The pass was worth it only by the time all the dlcs were released, and that took a while. Add to that the fact that divided the community more. The premium pass shouldn't have ever fucking existed.
I was one of those that never hated on this game when it came out, it was smooth, the performance was great, good optimized, they nailed the attention to details, the animations was crazy looking and it actually felt like a Battlefield game. 2042 feels like an arcade shooter, like cods ground war but bigger and the destructions and animations are an embarrassment..
This game has one of the best gunplays and movements on par with CoD this game was pretty solid but boring af imho. The sniping is one of the best in any shooter i've played
That's what happens when they put a COD dev in charge of DICE LA. I actually saw the whole specialist/bugfield type stuff from miles away after I learned that a COD dev was put in charge.
I think the main problem with Battlefield 5 wasn't even the game itself (although the content we had at the star was a joke) but how Dice reacted to the criticism towards historical accuracy.

Re-downloaded BF1 and have been playing for hours! The attention to detail, map designs, sound, voice acting, all while maintaining historical accuracy (or attempt to) is why I love it the most. Felt like that was the last good BF. Note: this is my opinion…
Bf1 is really underrated I think it’s a contender for one of the best battlefield games ever it’s in my top 3. Even tho it’s not an authentic recreation of ww1 it’s a very enjoyable game with fast paced action and amazing environments.
Y’know why ? Because contrary to what most people say BFV was decent (i personally think it was good ) but it’s heresy if you say you liked BFV , well I’m tired of it , I liked BFV and definitely thought it’s gunplay was great
It's a decent game. While I can't stand the gunplay being RNG, I play Battlefield casually so it doesn't matter. 2042 on the other hand is a disaster not worth mentioning.
Battlefield 5 has some really great moments where you’re immersed. You just have to look past the minor inconsistencies and play as if you were in that war with one life, and voila the game is twice as fun
cant really immerse yourself if you and everyone else is sliding around like the battlefield is covered with water lol, if you want to be immersed in a battlefield game just play bf1
@@groovy8457 both are immersive, yes bf1 has more immersion (in my opnion), but bfV also has a very good immersion (again, in my opnion) because if also feel like a soldier, especially in heavy attacks, be you the defender or the attacker.

I literally predicted that already a year ago. Was the same with bf3, then bf4, then hardline, then bf1 and now bfv. In a few years we'll see the same with that Bf2042 garbage. I'll stay with the same opinion. Bf1 and Bfv are my most favorite bf games.
This isn't anything new for battlefield. Game launches in broken state---> community doesnt like it. Fast forward a couple years and after bug fixes and DLCs the game is good. After a new battlefield releases in a broken state, people go back and play the old one. BF5 also had a terrible marketing campaign, which really hurt it after BF1's amazing marketing.
Thing is, BFV didn't make huge changes which strayed from the Battlefield formula, attrition was removed/fixed and has the best gunplay in the series. Its a pretty good game at the end of it's life cycle so I see no harm in returning to it.
@Quality High I always thought that it encouraged tighter squad play with support players being really important at giving out ammo. I also loved that non-medic players get a medic pouch to keep their aggressive play such as a flank or snipe-off going, only problem was that medics had no cooldown and basically could abuse it
@Quality High Even for hardcore players, the attrition in V was terrible to begin with. Still isn’t great to be honest since for most automatic weapons you get two additional magazines worth of ammo at most. But the attrition at launch was ridiculous, and I should know, I had to put up with it!
Bf1 has the graphics and the atmosphere. Bf5 has the gunplay. Also, bf1 has great naval combat and some great mechanics like the behemoths. If they had finished the game (bfV), it would have been so so good.
Um no Bf4 is thr best but Bf1 was amazing but it had and still has serious issues, like the hellriegel and SMG 08. Like people cried from the rooftops to nerf the Martini Henry (A sniper designed for 1 shot kills) and they did it so quickly yet they completely ignore the 2 most overpowered weapons in battlefield history, both full auto 3 shot kills with crazy fire rates. I'd be okay with them if it wasnt a bloody ww1 shooter, having a gun that never actually saw usage on the battlefield be the most used and most overpowered thing in the game just shouts favourtism and a disdain for snipers. And don't get me started on the invincible horses...

Maybe because the developers called people uneducated and sexist for pointing out all the historical inaccuracies this game had. Female soldiers running all over the Battlefield, black Germans etc. Then the best part was the guy from EA saying if you don't like it don't buy it. Yeah maybe that's why it was hated along with other reasons.

It’s a good idea in theory but I’m guessing one of the main issues in the optimisation of 2042 is the 128 players. I might be wrong but that’s my guess
I got BF5 for like 30 bucks or something about a year ago. I played it, but the lack of anti cheat was horrible. I'm bound to play on Asian servers since I get 300 ping or so on European ones, but these servers were infested with hack-users / cheaters. You'd often have at least 3 blatant cheaters on both teams. Now since BF2042 dropped, I downloaded BF5 again and to my pleasant surprise, plenty of people are running community servers with autoban functions on hack-users / cheaters with suspicious K/D or headshot ratings and active admins to keep the servers clean. It's not perfect, but it is much more playable now than it was about a year ago. Thank you BF2042 for making BF5 great again.

I've pretty much gone back to 5 as well.. I want to like 2042 more than I do but the hit reg issues persist and that's the deal breaker for me. The guns in V handle and sound fantastic. Also the maps pre/post destruction are much better. Many things are better..
I started playing this game like 3 weeks ago, maybe it’s cause I’m a BF scrub, but it feels great, I’m having a ton of fun, has its flaws but it doesn’t feel as bad as people make it out to be

I just started actually playing BF coming from CoD and I was kinda enjoying BF5 and was so excited for 2042 and this game is literally terrible so the little excitement I had for a new game is gone. Just deleted BF 2042 and re downloaded BF5 to try and enjoy the franchise. Guess I joined at the wrong time 😑

Bugs get patched I'm more interested in the game behind the bugs. 7 maps vs bf5 8 maps at release isn't much of a difference especially when bf5 maps sucked until the pacific theater released a year later. Also bfv was over detailed so much so that visibility suffered and everyone bitched. By reducing the details they increased visibility yet still ppl are bitching. Of course the game isn't perfect 20 guns is embarrassing and I have mixed feelings on specialists but it doesn't make the game terrible.
The war was the best time of my life, I even fought in all theaters except for russia, at the time. Yeah, even now I'm still looking for my long-time arch nemesis, Günter.

It's very disgusting how everyone started to love this game after it got bashed to the moon n back. The game was great and it always has been, im glad i played it through all its phases.
Early on it was a mess. I played since early access and it only got better after the Pacific update and bug fixes. And the ttk change killed it for a lot off people
Compared to battlefield 1 its a lot less immersive. The reveal trailer immediately showed us that dice went a different direction. Lots of women, blablabla. It kills the immersion of the game. But if you ignore that (and the bad launch), the game is actually superb. My favorite, because of all the features. In btf 1 I really miss squad revives. Such a great feature. And the movement and destruction is so good
imagine if in battlefield 5 they added different game modes like battle of Britain where it would be only planes or a mode with a full on tank battle, or they could make a sector control map based on the Normandy landings with the landing craft and everything
It's because it's actually a good game. I've only been playing 5 for a year but I enjoy this game alot more than 2042. 2042 is the only BF I have regretted owning and I bought Hardline right when it came out.

The only problem I got In this game it was sliding into cover and still getting head shoted . But still this game was fantastic to me especially destroying the tanks
I actually went back to BF1. Such a great game. That game to me feels like the last best Battlefield game. Soo many awesome feautures and fun gameplay. It actually feels like a complete game and a true Battlefield experience.

It did take a year for the game to get to a fun and playable state, but it had the core fundamentals of a battlefield game, unlike 2042...

The movement in this game is superb I was playing today too. Shame Dice killed the game at launch would of been nice to get all the intended content.

I got BF5 for like 30 bucks or something about a year ago. I played it, but the lack of anti cheat was horrible. I'm bound to play on Asian servers since I get 300 ping or so on European ones, but these servers were infested with hack-users / cheaters. You'd often have at least 3 blatant cheaters on both teams. Now since BF2042 dropped, I downloaded BF5 again and to my pleasant surprise, plenty of people are running community servers with autoban functions on hack-users / cheaters with suspicious K/D or headshot ratings and active admins to keep the servers clean.
It's not perfect, but it is much more playable now than it was about a year ago. Thank you BF2042 for making BF5 great again.

I've pretty much gone back to 5 as well.. I want to like 2042 more than I do but the hit reg issues persist and that's the deal breaker for me. The guns in V handle and sound fantastic. Also the maps pre/post destruction are much better. Many things are better..

I just started actually playing BF coming from CoD and I was kinda enjoying BF5 and was so excited for 2042 and this game is literally terrible so the little excitement I had for a new game is gone. Just deleted BF 2042 and re downloaded BF5 to try and enjoy the franchise. Guess I joined at the wrong time 😑

@@tyler1846 bugs should be expected with most AAA developers that's just the state of modern video games in general. Bugs get patched I'm more interested in the game behind the bugs. 7 maps vs bf5 8 maps at release isn't much of a difference especially when bf5 maps sucked until the pacific theater released a year later. Also bfv was over detailed so much so that visibility suffered and everyone bitched. By reducing the details they increased visibility yet still ppl are bitching. Of course the game isn't perfect 20 guns is embarrassing and I have mixed feelings on specialists but it doesn't make the game terrible.

Loved this game since it came out. Had its problems but it annoyed me how people loved to just shit on this game without properly playing it.
Compared to battlefield 1 its a lot less immersive. The reveal trailer immediately showed us that dice went a different direction. Lots of women, blablabla. It kills the immersion of the game. But if you ignore that (and the bad launch), the game is actually superb. My favorite, because of all the features. In btf 1 I really miss squad revives. Such a great feature. And the movement and destruction is so good

It's because it's actually a good game. I've only been playing 5 for a year but I enjoy this game alot more than 2042. 2042 is the only BF I have regretted owning and I bought Hardline right when it came out.

I actually went back to BF1. Such a great game. That game to me feels like the last best Battlefield game. Soo many awesome feautures and fun gameplay. It actually feels like a complete game and a true Battlefield experience.
