Hi Amber! I just found you and started looking at some of your videos. I'm in Piedmont North Carolina too! So I really understand the heat!!! I started studying pottery videos in 2020 but I was sick and getting sicker. I took a class and I made a couple of small things but I got cancer and just didn't have the strength to finish. I'm a lot older than you (57) but I just had to say something because it looks like you have the same shed that I was hoping to get eventually lol! Plus I love miniatures as well and always have but I don't make them. Anyway I'm in Siler City / Silk Hope area. My cancer prognosis is excellent and I'm much better so I hope to start actually trying to hand-build soon and I hope that maybe I can come see your beautiful things if you are ever at a show nearby just let me know. Thanks and hope you feel better soon 😊
Oh I'm so sorry that you have had such a rough time for such a long time now! I can't imagine what you've gone through but knowing that you are a fellow create making the most of the worst situation is so inspiring. I love that you're going to start creating again soon - I know it's so good for my soul to get my hands moving! I hope it is very healing in every way for your as well!! Miniatures are so fun - and hand building is just like making magic. I am so happy you found my channel and that we are so close. I hope that we cross paths at some point and if we do I hope to get to see some of the creations you've been working on!!
I hope you feel better soon! My daughter had a cold a few days ago that I think is at its end. NC heat is getting to alot of us...uggghhh. I am LOVING all the pieces from the kiln! Soo good!
Thank you!! These summer colds seem to be going around everywhere!! At least fall is headed our way in the next month or so! So ready for a bit of cool air!! And thank you so much again for your sweet comment!!
Love allll of it!! The set is so amaaaazing!! Please tell us what company makes the cinnamon swirl!! Just an fyi. Satin patina isn’t dinner ware appropriate. 😩 I hate to mess with your amazing vibe. I take a big red sharpie and write on the from and tops of all the glazes that aren’t dinnerware safe/appropriate NOT DS so I have that little extra reminder! Your kiln wash did amazing with those glaze drips!! Push plates/dishes are what you’re referring to for the slab technique. I always make these with my leftover clay! I sell them as trinket trays!! They are great for testing a glaze combo on a flatfish surface! Just have to say, your excitement is soo infectious!! I love watching you get so excited!!! My favorite is definitely the tea pot!!!
Thank you for all your tips and for your sweet comment!! I love that you love watching my kiln unloads and that my joy from my creations makes you feel the excitement through the screen!! LOL! That's the whole reason I share - so it's so wonderful to hear!! Side note... the jar for Satin Patina says something along the lines of food safe when fired to appropriate temps - so I just assumed it was fine. So aggravating! I def am going to venture away from purchasing anything that isn't food safe in the future!
@@makershavenpottery The satin patina is an absolutely awesome glaze but I just use it on the outsides of things. It sure is a runner with other glazes as well.
Stunning Amber! That was worth the wait!
Oh my goodness thank you so much!! ☺️🥰
Thank you for sharing!!

I love your straw cups. I think the ones with the hole on the top is my favorite. Looks less likely to spill.
Thank you so much!!!
Wow Amber, this is your best kiln load yet. Love the teapot the most! I like the stripes on that moon mug a lot.
Aww thank you so much!!!
