Love the Thalys trains and routes. One stop you speak Dutch/Flemish, then French and eventually German! Can't wait for this COVID crap to be over so I can return to Europe.
The new refurbished Thalys trains are gonna be awesome. I only wish they had doubledeckers like the TGV Duplex too.. I think the red livery would look absolutely beautiful on them.
I used Thalys to come from Amsterdam to Paris in 29 August, 2007 with my family. It was a great experience as I got first class tick in a very cheap price (39 Euro)

Beautiful station but when you go out, it feels like you are in the middle an abandonned neighborhood, i will never understand the disastrous urban planing in most Belgian cities... :/ Which is sad because Liège has a lot to offer !
It's a gorgeous modern station. It lacks the charm of older stations but it's undeniably impressive and shows what can be done when architecture is done right. It's a shame about the location as the neighborhood is rather dodgy and it doesn't give the best impression of Liège which is a really underrated city. It's a bit like Paris Gare du Nord. A beautiful station but with some shady characters just outside

My first highspeed rail experience was on this train, from Paris to Dusseldorf, back in the year 2000. What an amazing experience I had. The body color of Thalys is so unique and eye catching!
The only time I took Thalys (a week after this video came out AMS-Disneyland Paris) was the only time I’ve experienced problems with strikes in all my European travels . There was no food or drink on board, all there was a big bottle of water you could pour yourself a small cup of water with. Also the train was really really hot.
It is always amazing to see the advancements in European trains. The Americans cannot even master the basic! Gare du Nord is such a great train station. Most US stations are dumps, save for about 5 or 6. Some cities have little huts that resemble a shed! Pitiful! I love the cerise cold 8n this Theylis train -inside and out.
Watched your video onboard the Thalys. I fully agree with you, service is good! Food was OK, staff friendly and train comfortable. My train to Amsterdam was late in the morning (45mn), we were diverted on the "classic" line because the high speed line between Antwerpen and Rotterdan was closed. And on the return (15mn) because of heavy trafic in Belgium. Delays seem to be pretty common with Thalys (though it is not Thalys fault). I agree it could be worst by car, because of congestions in Lille, Belgium and the Netherland. I thinked to myself "TOILETS TIME" when I went there...
0:35 Whatever you do, don’t drink the coffee from the blue machine in the right corner. I did that a month ago and it was truly horrific. The worst coffee I had in a long time. The other machine in the “hidden corner” makes decent coffee, so use that one instead.

Big differ to SCNF. Comfy clean neat. Impressed by all standards. Worth trying for over an hour ride from Gare de Nord to any cities. This Gare looks huge just like Gare de Lyon. Thanks for the clear video. Excellent 👏👍🙏
Cool video! I'm going to Paris from Schiphol next week! We booked comfort class (Better seats/Wi-Fi but no Seat service). Did not find the plus 50-+ euro's worth it.
I've seen the Thalys at Brussels many times, but at Gare du Nord, so thank you for this. If you enjoy the wide entrance to Bruxelles Midi, please try London Waterloo. You can also see where the Eurostar arrived before St Pancras International was opened. Or just try one of the videos on here that shows it ;-)

Actually，the ICE from Frankfurt to Brussels is often broken. It is lucky that you can see the ICE in Brussels because it really traveled to Brussels.It used to be stopped in Liege and let all passengers off the train and change to a Belgium IC to continue their trip . It is just an excuse that the train is broken. Scheiße DB
very nice video!!!! i have a question.. my name is mike from greece and i have some mobility problems {amputee my right foot},from your travel experience with trains.... is easy for me to travel by trains,i have noticed some problems with overcrowed stations,walking a lot of hour to go for taking the train and difficulties with narrow spaces in train vagons... which is your opinion??
Trail looks similar to train in California from Sacramento to gill roy. California train looks outdated from outside..design but interiors of California trains look good..but red interior premium class looks quiet good
It took us 8 hours, thee train stopped for 4 hours in the middle of nowhere in between Belgium and France. Then another 2 hours in the middle of nowhere again. Wee made a claim but never get reimbursed. You have to be lucky to have a good trip on that travel.
300kph too....same line ....the North LGV , except from the 4 km which separate the CDG TGV station and the Vemars triangle: it is the junction between the LGV Nord (Paris Lille UK and Belgium) and the LGV interconnection (where CDG and Disney are located) but all are at 300kph

Nice video. I had a round trip to Paris and back from Brussels in 2011. Absolutely enjoyed the service and remember it vividly..

I’ve travelled Thalys standard from Brussels to Rotterdam it’s pretty good service but gets fairly crowded. Good train service really like your video.

Great train. 300 km per hour. Is the Paris cdg to bruxelles a faster train or is it 300 km too
