    i’m 14 and starting to try sea fishing and it’s a struggle as i don’t have anyone i know that does it and the cost of it all adds up but watching your videos is amazing and entertaining especially as i’m nearby to barton’s point. Love the videos Paul 🎣🎣

      Hi Francis good to hear from you and yes fishing is an expensive hobby now particularly travelling and buying bait etc.
      Maybe I am next at Sheppey near Barton’s point your mum or Dad could run you down to the beach and Andy or I could sort out some fishing gear for you. I do not know if you are on Instagram but if you are search and request to follow then message me and as I say next I am Sheppey way will message. Went out yesterday and fished all day at Eastbourne and caught nothing. Brilliant that you like the videos take care Paul 👍👍🐠🐠🐠

    Whiting and more whiting, but on a day I could not fish at my normal south coast beaches. Next trip back to Isle of Sheppey to target rays.

    Great video did you find it was a very snaggy venue Paul?

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The secret to Barton’s point is to look at the beach with the tide out as there are a few areas where you can lose tackle. You can also find tackle as well. Very tide dependent venue as very shallow. Am heading down to Sheppey to garrisons point on Sunday as deep water but a bit of a walk to get to which is why I like Barton’s point as you can park right by where you fish. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment cheers 👍🍺🎣🎣

    Going back maybe 20 years ago this was one of the best spots in Kent for cod used to catch cod from anything 2lb to 8lb

      Thanks for watching and commenting, really appreciate it. I can remember those years and the iconic beaches at Dungeness where I went today. Perfect conditions and big disappointment as Andy , I and Ross all caught a fish a piece early on then nothing. Long day 3:30am start and just got home cheers and take care Paul 🐠🐠👍👍

    Great video man I am just starting out and I have a 6 ft rod and it's very very hard to catch fish I fish at Bartons point almost everyday and it is a great experience even tho I've only caught a single fish in the past few days

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Wayne thanks for those kind words and great to hear you have joined the sea fishing fraternity. Smaller rods probably more suitable for harbours and rivers. May be an idea to seek out some deeper water or other areas. Garrison point worth a go bit of a walk but very deep close in. Bigger rods more suited to distance. Other advice I would give is speak to other anglers on the beach. Fishing is also tough at this time of the year but keep at it as sea fishing has made me many friends and not always about catching take care Paul 👍👍🐠🐠

      @@SeaFishingWithPaul thanks paul that is very true i was wondering if fishing supplies are more expensive now than a few years ago because im having to save every last penny to save for some weights and a new rod

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Itsmarkusd2 Hi Wayne yes unfortunately everything is more expensive now although I get a lot in car boot sales and find weights on the beach and Barton’s point down towards the sailing club when the tide is out is a good place to find them.
      My fingers are crossed for you 🤞🤞

      Hi Jasper, ace for the sub and like really appreciated. Would have liked to get more vids up but am down in Surrey and local police grumpy about travelling more than 5 miles or at least staying in county. Got sent home from beach week and half ago when in tier 4 even showed them angling websites saying ok to fish but their view different so sitting it out at home getting depressed....but do have beer 🍺 would have been brilliant to join you for a bit of competition and banter but wife gives me the evil eye if I suggest going fishing. Maybe a meet up in March when this starts getting back to some normality. Even local fisheries are shut but patience is a virtue 😀cheers Paul and let me know what you get and fingers crossed that you catch a unicorn 🦄 or cod ...........

    Hey Paul I have just started fishing on a smaller rod I am getting a 12ft on soon or for my birthday but Its extremely expensive for hooks and sinkers what the best way for me to get the tackle I need

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Junior welcome to the great sport of angling and all the positives it will bring.
      Hooks, weights and tackle generally very expensive and one of the reasons I make all my own rigs.
      I generally buy hooks in bulk and if you are ever near the Anglers den in Pevensey they sell their own brand in bulk at reasonable prices.
      I use eBay to source a lot of my fishing gear secondhand and weights I buy at car boot fairs and also find on the beach early mornings at low tide.
      Enjoy the new rod when you get it and take care cheers Paul 👍🐠🐠🐠🎣

      Hi Callum hate bloody iPhones tried to attach map and directions to Barton’s point failed miserably let’s try again. Postcode ME12 2BE and big long car park opposite the yacht club. Turn left with coast on your right and drive to end can be a bit snagged so good to have a look at low tide. Hope that helps and big thanks for watching much appreciated cheers Paul

      @@angusmctavish2345 Callum you have cheered me up no end as it is looking likely that restrictions will get stronger around how long we are allowed out for, but we all need to take a sensible and responsible view. Probably going to be a few weeks before I am back down on the beach. Langley point quite a journey for me but will venture that way at some stage. This all started when my son said I was to old to deal with TH-cam film editing etc but it has saved my sanity in this mad world. Thank you for the great feedback and maybe when this all settles down we meet down on the beach cheers Paul

      @@SeaFishingWithPaul I started sea fishing in June 2020. I was inspired by TA Fishing then found some You Tuber videos closer to home which got me on the beach. I'm now 10 species in, have joined a club and absolutely love it. For people like me who are finding their footing these videos are so valuable, having people like you openly share experience and knowledge is absolutely priceless. Would love to meet you on the beach for a session once things go back to "normal". Cheers, Calum .
