- Coney Island is a peninsula located in the southern part of Brooklyn, New York City. It is known for its beach, amusement parks, boardwalk, and historic attractions.
The beach at Coney Island stretches for almost three miles along the Atlantic Ocean, and is a popular destination for locals and tourists during the summer months. The beach is also home to Nathan's Hot Dogs, which has been serving up its famous franks since 1916.
Several of the amusement rides at Coney Island are the Cyclone roller coaster and the Wonder Wheel. In addition to the amusement park, Coney Island also has a number of historic attractions, including the Coney Island Museum and the New York Aquarium.

I went to Coney Island in 1967 with my late parents and our tenant. My father was the landlord of the 2 family house we lived in. And she our tenant was foreign born and it was already famous in her native country.

You mentioned in a tour how you have a 6th sense for picking out good places to eat. Me, too! lol. Idk what it is but I can just tell from the outside, haha. It's definitely a good skill to have! If you were to do another video in Jersey, Princeton would be a great tour. The University, Einstein's house, the main drag with shops, etc, the park where one of the revolutionary wars was fought, etc etc etc

Coney island brings a lot of good memories, especially in my childhood I remember it being Astroland back in the early 2000s.

My maternal aunt (my mother's younger sister) and her family used to live near Coney Island, and I remember visiting there for a few days in 1982, with me walking to Coney Island intending to check out the amusent park, but only going as far as the boardwalk, and a small video arcade on said boardwalk that had a jukebox, which I used to listen to each time I visited it. This is another amazing video by you, Action Kid, keep up the great work.
6:06-The bus area at this subwway staion looks like the ones at some of our subway stations here in Toronto (this one looks like the Wilson Station complex in the borough of North York, with it's areas for shops and services plus the buses and subways.)

Grew up in the Midwest and have lived in Florida in the Orlando metro for 25 years now. But I was in NYC for a full week in 2022 in April, and finally got out to Coney Island. Even though o had to go by myself. Rode the Cyclone once, the Wonder Wheel twice (stationary and moving cars) got some fresh clams at Pete’s Clam’s and a Brooklyn Lager, a hot dog at the boardwalk Nathan’s, and walked to the end of the pier. Living in Orlando so long, it’s very hard to be very thrilled with what Coney Island has. But still, it’s historic and bucket list stuff. Places like it walked so places like Disney, Universal, or Six Flags could run. So it was really neat to finally see and experience in person.

Sure has changed since 1976! Rode the Wonder Wheel and the Rotor it was called the Devil's Pit and had music and flashing lights was too scared to ride the iconic Coney Island big roller-coaster the Cyclone Saw it's advert on TV and went to have a look was visiting from South Africa 🌍📺🦍🦁😇💥💫💢Beautiful with the colors and the sand and grey skies! Looks like a painting 👌
Very enjoyable seeing the two parks and the aquarium. The time spent walking the boardwalk was almost as calming as watching the ocean as there were so few people. A terrific walk on a pretty afternoon, thank you.

Nice stroll through the Coney Island amusements. I used to assume Coney Island consisted of only the amusements, but I had a friend in Dallas who spent his childhood there, and I envisioned him and his family living under the roller coaster.

I moved form Coney six months ago to Williamsburg, amazed how fast there building that new luxury condo when I left, and there was nothing there amazing! And wow they took down the yearly countdown clock to the Fourth of July hotdog eating contest and championship wall wonder why ? Everything else pretty much looks the same.

I’m not American but I’d love to visit Coney Island, New York more specifically, at some point in the future. I have a question in regards to Coney Island however… One of my favourite films, “The Warriors (1979)” was obviously shot and filmed in New York and Coney Island, does anybody know if you can buy any merchandise related to said movie in Coney Island?
There are shops where you can get T-shirts and stuff. Near the Coney Island/Stillwell subway station I bought some merchandise of The Warriors. Mainly clothing of course but of a good quality.

Enjoyed your walk of Coney Island, went there many times as a kid. I was disappointed to hear the parachute drop no longer operates. It was such a fun scary ride. To me the other scariest ride was the Ferris wheel with the rolling cabins out over the water. Another beautiful beach/boardwalk for you to visit some day, if you haven't already, is Belle Harbor @ Rockaway Beach. Subway to 116th Street, then walk boardwalk to Beach 126th street where it ends, take Rockaway Beach Blvd back to subway. Lovely area, had my first apartment there facing the beach back in the mid-sixties. Thanks for the memories. (PS just found your July 2020 video on Rockaway Beach)
Spend a lot of time there as a child I loved the music ride and the ride where you got stuck on the wall and the floors dropped
