Can you expand on your examples of the Kibbe body system and how structured versus unstructured pieces suit people on the other end of the spectrum?
I may have misheard, but in the Kibbe Bodyimage System, the character of the person - the Essence, as he calls it - is very much involved. I would classify you as an FN.
yes! Sorry I should have clarified - I just noticed that when we do the quiz ... it is mostly focused on physical features. Ive never considered Flamboyant Natural - thank you! New perspective is always good

There is a really fine line between effortless and careless. This video helped me see "why" as well as "how" to come down on the effortless side.

You're the first person I've seen mention that sometimes we have to balance out our Kibbe body type. I am curvy and deemed a romantic but wow, if I go too much in that direction, it's like becoming mush! I lose all my energy! Your theories on effortlessness helped me see that I definitely want more of that in my wardrobe - and my life!

Great explanations! When you swapped your cotton shirt for a cashmere sweater, I finally got the difference: My personality is softer than my physical appearance suggests, and a sweater is exactly what I choose over a structured shirt, every time. How did I not see this before? 😂 Maybe “effortless” actually depends on how well our clothing expresses our personality?

Absolutely loved the outfits in this video Alyssa. It never ceases to amaze me how swapping a few elements such as shoes, bag, jacket can completely transform the overall look. This is where I struggle...I picture an outfit in my mind but it often just misses the mark. I need to spend more time looking at what I have and then fine tuning the looks. Thank you, you are looking so well and relaxed Portugal obviously agrees with you 😊 😉

It takes a lot of effort to look effortless. I really like the first look where you switched out the button down shirt to the cream colored cashmere sweater. Not only it is more comfortable, effortless, it is also more feminine. The pencil skirt with boots look gives me fresh idea how to wear pencil skirt in more relaxed way. Good ideas as always, Alyssa!

Love the whole idea of "effortless" dressing. Thanks for showing us some examples to help us recreate this look. Now I am thinking, perhaps some of the things in my closet can go because they're uncomfortable, or to style them is too much of an effort.

Love it as always. I learn something new every time. I wish we could see more “real” women rather than models. As a mum of 4 I’m always on the go with school runs, house chores and errands and rarely go out. It would be great to see something that captures womens fashion that can deal with my every day. I’m trying to pull away from jeans and a sweatshirt. It’s so boring. X
I used to live in jeans, and I would describe my style as comfortable casual. I've moved away from jeans - not completely, there's always going to be a place for them, but a lot - and have brought in cotton chinos for warm weather and some gorgeously comfortable corduroy trousers for cool weather. And I've exchanged my baggy sweatshirts for more fitted cashmere jumpers, although you might not want to go quite that far if you have very young children.
Add a brooch or a silk scarf (or both!) and it's a more polished version of the casual wardrobe I've always had.
You could always try some different colours, whether you prefer the seasonal colour analysis, or just have some colours that you know you look good in. I've got a Pinterest board just for colour schemes and combinations that I can use for inspiration, so maybe you could try something similar?
About a month ago I decided to challenge myself and not wear jeans this summer.
I'm a mom of two (almost 5 &7) . In fall I find a soft cashmere solid scarf over a cable knit sweater or plain solid tee does the trick.. I just fling it around my neck once, losen it up so it doest feel restrictive on my neck and instantly feel polished and effortless. Same with my chealsea boots and slim straight jeans that go to the top of the ankle. I don't care any more my feet look huge (skinny ankles women's US11) . Top it all with a good fitted wool coat and I feel ready to take on the cold with a tea in a thermos
I love this, I have never cared for outfits that look overly fussy and like they took a week to plan out. You strike the perfect balance between looking relaxed, effortless, but still polished 💜💜

Omg, this is just up my street! I am another that fell down a Kibbe rabbit hole, I'm pretty sure I am a natural, maybe even a flamboyant natural. I certainly need clothes to be comfortable and functional, as well as look good too. I also think effortless often means I've put the effort in sourcing the clothes, so that they seem effortless to put on because they work well.
Just stumbled across your videos. Loving them! I love to find pieces that I love the look and feel good in them. It's fun to watch your videos and then look in my own closet to see what I can come up with.
Great content as always! I love the wide-leg pants and white T-shirt look you're wearing. Definitely one I will be trying out as we move into spring in the Uk. Love the shape of that t-shirt - crew necks don't really suit me as I have quite square shoulders and a v breaks up the line and makes my neck look longer, so I'm always on the look out for great ones, as I wear them so much 😄

You are a 100% flamboyant natural, not dramatic (please notice how good you look in bulky sweaters, and different colored pants vs tops. Dramatics would look unkempt in the way you wear opposing colors and forms, and you don’t. You always look chic.)

I wore navy kitten heels and silver intricate details to add feminine balance. I would have never put that together before, I felt so confident. Thank you for the inspiration!

Aha! It all makes sense now. I understand why flowing dresses and big sweaters are anathema to me. As a small person made of circles, I would drown in a long dress with sweater tied around the neck. Thank you for such a clear visual.
Great video with lots of ideas to become more effortless yet elegant. I would have put you as a flamboyant natural - you can carry a bit of drama but you tend to go with oversize or at least plenty of ease (not in your blazers but definitely in your sweaters). Since you’re in Portugal, what about a video on how Portuguese women dress. I’m guessing they’re a bit more elegant and put together (like most European countries) than us westerners, but love your take on it.

Please make more of these Effortless Style videos. I don’t know about other places, but in warm coastal climates women want to be able to leave the house and the lounge wear behind while still remaining functional, cool and comfortable out in public. They want to be non frumpy and feminine without looking like they are trying too hard. Fabric is the most important (neither synthetic, scratchy or hot). This flattering yet functional style is not promoted in the fashion industry and we need more influencers like you to lead the way.

I really needed this lesson! I currently lean more towards androgynous / tomboy-ish pieces and even though I love every single piece I am wearing, the overall masculine look tends to “drown” me… I need to remember add more fitted or feminine pieces to balance out my outfit more 🖤
