It's hard to tell on video, but if your LED tail light bulbs are coming through a bit on the yellow side, Classic Car LEDs in the UK make really nice warm white bulbs that show a lot more nicely through old style red lenses. Shipping to AU is extremely reasonable, too. I fitted a complete set of their gear to my Valiant years ago, the quality is right up there, and none of them has failed on me or given any trouble. Their switchbacks for incorporating white, amber, or red functions into a single location also work flawlessly.
I saw that little burnout at the end. The TOJO Crown lives again. My grandfather bought my then very young Mum a Luxury Crown around 1974 (I was about 4 and am pretty sure it was a V8). She actually refused to take it - afterward he drove it around Parramatta for a while and had a massive prang in it. I Remember it sitting all bent up at the side of his antique shop for a few years and the hang dog look he had when we walked past it. Thanks for bringing back the memories guys
Turbo Yoda a Woodrigues are propper mechanics. Just been beaten down to humbleness by many a failure and engine that just won't behave. As such they're absolutely knowledgeable of their limits, and know when and where to ask for help. Also they take every opportunity to call out the ones that are helpful, and share a similar attitude. I'm not really into cars, especially not the petrol head models these fellahs like, but I absolutely love your videos, all the years of experience and skills that go into making them, all the clever editing, all the passion and knowledge. True blue bloody heroes, all of ya
I would also add to make sure you have a fire extinguisher in your shed. I have dry chem and CO2 for electronic and fuel fires. They are cheap compared to losing your pride and joy!
The skid at the end 😲 The crown was one hell of a sleeper. I guess the new iteration hides the monster underneath fairly well, although I can't imagine it will be anywhere near as quiet as the 2J 🤣
My full on favorite car In the states shoehorn a big block in a small engine compartment. Is just nothing that anyone wants to make fit. Solid work men.. Thanks for sharing.
That chops HARD! Can't wait to hear some supercharger whine at full tilt on the Dyno! 😁 PD: Happy to hear you guys will be at Drag Week (maybe only Al?), but sad at the same time because it won't be with Benny since the Cresta won't be in the states in time for Drag Week 😥
As always such an amazing build. I think this means a little more to everyone knowing it's yours Al!. Very happy to hear the angry beast come to life. Great filming / editing to just see and hear that making some lumpy revolutions. 👌👌
The cackle from that motor definitely sounds like "a blown, old school, methanol (and) carby engine" and DEFINITELY gives you "street cred"! Sadly, which is arguable, it can, and should, be tuned to run at its best which means no more cackle BUT more power & drivability etc. etc. Great job guys! Thanks for the share.
had exactly the same car as a 21 year old and i thought i was the smartest in town when i jammed a 289 Ford Windsor and a top loader under the bonnet ,then this monster turns up and blows it away ,outstanding finish just perfect
@@theskidfactory hey thankyou for the reply ,i had an issue with the oil pick up and engine mounts so i got a fella in Bayswater to help me with the crossmember and sump ,John Taverna ,i worked in a campervan place ,i helped him with fitting out a camper and in trade he got one of hes workers to sort out a few lil things ,sort of a barter deal
Gents loving your work as always! Great to see you putting props out to some QLD businesses! Given me some people to call on! What colour is that?? Looks great with all the chrome.
Damn Al, you have built one hell of a car! It's going to shred tires like no other and hell, I bet you can street or drag race the damn thing! It sounds saucy as hell, Great Job!!
Bro, The Crown sounds Awesome 😎 (Yeah, fair enough, it may change a bit , once it’s Dyno’ed, (s/p?), but you’ll have to be happy with that, right?!) Can’t get over the sound coming from a Crown; when I was a little fella, my Uncle Barry let me drive us home after work, in his Brown & Tan Vinyl Roof Crown, so brings back happy memories. Love the content 💕 Kia Kaha, Grant from NZ.
If watching episodes of the skid factory and buying some merch gives us more of this, then you’d have rocks in your head not to subscribe. …Now after hearing that, I need a quiet 2mins and 35secs to myself. What a sound. OMG.

Glad to see that you’re still at it.
Amazing content lately gents! Loving how animated Al has been of late, can't half tell he's enjoying building his own car for once haha.
he'll just sell it after 6 weeks like every other of his personal car builds. I don't think he really enjoys driving cars, just working on them
@@nosebergs-are-at-it-again he wont sell it, too much history and hes had it for so long.
Epic skid at the end, bar is set for the first skid with the new engine
Love this channel. Love Allan and Woody. Can't even remember how long I've been watching this channel since Marty and Moog gave them a leg up.
The sound of it is very much every man's dreams just lumpy and grumpy keep up the great work boys
Lumpy and grumpy. Sorry Justin, I'm using this.
That bonnet is freaking amazing. The little things done so well impresses me so much.

Hello from Arizona! I been following a couple years, good to see it coming alive.
Super crisp! I’m pretty sure you won’t be complaining about that exhaust and It’s got to be rowdy to drive
another top notch build!
Thumbs up literally first 30 seconds from that sound, looks and sounds the part ! Well done lads !
You just passed your carpentry apprenticeship...NAILED IT!!!

There’s only 1 way to describe that intro. That chop is sufficient. Excellent lads great job to you all. Glad to be a Patreon
Sounds mint boys!
You really aren’t drag-ging your feet if you’ve already started the next build 😉
I would also add to make sure you have a fire extinguisher in your shed. I have dry chem and CO2 for electronic and fuel fires. They are cheap compared to losing your pride and joy!
THATS F**king SICK as Bro!!!! Top stuff guys. That Yr 12 Formal is gonna be a special one with this car.
This has to be the meanest build on the tube at the moment. Love it
My new kitten is loving the sound of that motor at idle!
Glad to hear you're still making it for Drag Week, I'll be looking for you!

All thumbs up on this build. Hako was impressive, this even more so.

Great video as always. Epic skid at the end! Love the Crown, the attention to detail is astonishing. Such a great bonnet, looks amazingly stylish.
Car sounds great and that bonnet bulge just seems to fit perfectly with the shape of the car , all around impressive work !
Love the video’s guys! So glad to see Al working on his own car 🙂!
This is turning out to be my favorite build yet. Really loving it.
Proof Al can do a good skid at the end ❤️
Shoutout for the Wallace placement Woodie! lol
What an amazing build. and what a great video. cheers from Estonia.
Oh that sweet, sweet sound 🤘🤘 neighbours love flowers.
That thing sounds gnarly Al! Congrats - I know you're stoked.
Good to hear it running.
Awesome, keep an eye on the belt after the supercharger pulley...looks like it gets pretty loose when reved.
TSF is just going from strength to strength. This car is awesome
Awsome video Guys. I'm so glad you V8,ed the Crown Al, especially an old school big block. Sounds funkin awesome.
The bonnet looks awesome
I can listen to that untuned gnarly idle all day! Sounds insane!
That opening is on point. Incredible work

That sounds so good! Really enjoying this build series
Hell Yeah !!!! It sounds sooooooooooooo good. Nothing like a big block chop compared to those odd sounding barras and other import motors.
She's a Mean one Chaps. Great job
Best build ever. You have really taken it to the next level with this one. Love the skid factory, even more because your local boys.👍👍
Great video thanks ! Congrats on it running.

It really is the skid factory!!
Love that dream realised look on Al's face
excellent build skids
Awesome video as usual! Friendly side note: burning brake cleaner produce poisenous gas so avoid it if possible
Young(er) Al in the house. What a trooper. 👌🏻
Best shed skid I've seen so far and that must have been 15years ago ehh.
Looks and sounds brilliant good work guys. I had one slightly off topic question, what is that little black box with the blue lights on your hat ?
That’s a Rode wireless microphone
Dashboard keypad looks like something out of 'Knight Rider' 😎👍
It looks like the Poly-V is "flapping about" so much that it's actually touching itself.
May be something to look at.
What a great car it has become!
that intro was worth the price of admission alone! 😁

Hands down the best sounding engine to ever come out of that shed
Love the cams
Been waiting for the Kevin build
Boom kevins comming
That first 30 seconds was pure 🔥
Love it...Hook up a "ROMP ROMP" switch after the proper tune I recon.
Dem chops!
Edit: That throttle response is orgasmic!
Wow great content. You are so good in front of the camera compared to the MCM days.
What about putting a spacers under the throttle body with a angle down to give more space.
Wow, fantastic video. Great delivery of tricks of the trade.
My word, the clip at the end!
