  • This video is the results I had and have had in the past from reversing my blade (LandPride RB0560) and pulling "Reverse Back Blade Pull" to remove snow and not tear up the ground. This has always worked for me but I understand that other's may not have the same results and the applications may be different. It is not intended to definitively say that it "does work". It just works well for me.

Morning Dave! Good demo and good to see it works well for you. Good for folks to see that it can work for some people in their respective conditions. Cheers and all the best!

Thanks GP! Of course, there is a lot of differentiating variables between my experience and yours (blade size, turf, base, etc). Thanks for watching and the nice chat we had.

Thanks for sharing Dave, I watched both your video and Gord's. Great points mentioned in both. Just goes to show I think how it really come down to what each individual prefers in each of their respective environments and needs. Much the same as front vs rear blowers and all the rest of it. I have always found that reversing the blade always helped in the blade not digging just like you demonstrated.. Stay well :)

Thanks. I couldn't agree more. One is not wrong or more right than the other. Just depends on all the different factors.

Can't wait to see it Luc! I've become so interested in this topic and to see if I'm the only one that it seems to work for. If so, why? We'll see. Maybe more will share their experiences.

Is the front blower/rear blade definitely the best setup for these smaller tractors?

Hey TS, thanks for watching. If you've watched a bunch of my videos you probably heard me say that just a few times. In my opinion it's a definitive YES. I think it's the most versatile, at least, for my situation. These blowers on these "small" tractors will throw snow 50 plus feet depending on the consistency and that's no exaggeration. This allows you to keep piles down and you can put it almost anywhere you want. The blade is great for scraping down to pavement or whatever your base is. Especially nice for the smaller snows and long runs. Have a great week!

Grass is not to be compared to gravel I beleive.

This is true, Marc. I think my point though was that it does get down well without tearing anything up. In GP's video he started that it doesn't get down and remove the snow to the base layer. That eventually it just rides up on top like a snowmobile ski. I understand I can't create the exact same conditions though. Who knows, just seems to work ok for me.
