    Hi, Brett, I'm one of your customers from Los Angeles. Thank you for such great service always! I dropped my bike in the desert (check my video if you want to see) and needed a shifter. Got the Hammerhead from you with the red aluminum tip. Looks great! Feels great! Suddenly liked the red and got the bling kit and Zeta Disc Guard from you. Just showed up today! Thank you! I will post a video of all the stuff once it's on the bike.

    I like how that DRC taillight kit allows for external turn signals...I'd run some small external LED turn signals just to help avoid problems with the cops. And props to yall for making a super clean looking 250L. Never really considered that bike to be supermoto worthy but this looks pretty darn good.

    Thanks for the informative video! I converted my CRFL to SM ... So I got excited when I saw your black kickstand. I was hoping it was a bolt on, but you did the same thing I did and shortened the factory stand. FWIW I'm using the BT003 tires and love them. And a 44t rear sprocket works awesome.

    My buddy has a CRF250L and he is doing a supermoto setup on his bike. We were wondering, is the gearing you went with supposed to make the bike ride the same as stock or were you going for more bottom end and less top. He is trying to maintain the same performance as the trail tires that were on it. What would you guys recommend? Also are you guys outta Summit county Ohio? I used to live in Portage but now am in Detroit MI. Never knew Ohio did supermoto stuff much haha Nice build though

    I just bought a 2015 CRF250L....if I put the 17s on, what changes do I need for transmission and gearing?
    I'm having a 13 tooth front sprocket put on also.
    But I'm also thinking about just goin to an 18" front and keeping knobbies on for better handling.

    you got anything to raise the height of the tail? I am kinda heavy and whenever I get on the bike, the suspension dies, I don't want to make the suspension stiff, I want to make it taller, and have the same comfortable suspension

    Hey SR moto! Great vid! But no mention of the tire size up front. I want to run a 120/70ZR-17 front tire on my 2014 CRF-250L (17x3.50 front wheel) CRFs Only recommends a 110/70-17 front tire but what do they know! What is that tire you're running on the bike in this vid? Sure looks like plenty of room up front between the forks. Thanks for the info about shaving the shock guards down and the kickstand. Really good stuff to know going at it. Thanks in advance.

      +Mike Matzke its a 120/70ZR-17 Continental Attack SM front tire. 110/70-17 would work as well.

    Sweetest 250 I've seen! I just bought a 2014 from the dealership yesterday and I'm wanting to get a Fmf exhausts. is there any difference from the Yoshi and Fmf??? Also should I get the ejk Optimizer or get the gazza or whatever programer?

    • @user-we5yo2yo1f
      @user-we5yo2yo1f  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Yoshi and FMF are very similar, I think its more of a personal preference thing. We sell way more of the FMF systems than the Yoshi for this particular bike. The FMF exhausts do allow you to re-use the white plastic heat shield that covers the muffler, whereas Yoshi does not and therefore most of their muffler is exposed. Sound-wise, they are pretty similar... I think the FMF is a little bit quieter. Oh, and the FMF mufflers have a spark arrestor, the Yoshi does not.
      Most of our customers seem to go for the EJK EFI controllers for these bikes, way more so than the Bazzazz. The EJK is a simple plug n play that takes 20 minutes to install and then you're up and riding. Its what we use on both of our CRF's (and both of our WR's).

    Question is that the stock front brake rotor ?
    Did you have to order anything special on the wheels to make the speedometer work ?

    • @user-we5yo2yo1f
      @user-we5yo2yo1f  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I believe that is the stock front rotor. We have since switched to Warp 9 supermoto wheels, which come with an oversize front rotor... soloracer.com/crfsmwheels.html

    what's louder, the yoshi or the fmf? is the megabomb louder than the powerbomb?

  • @TheDarkGTAPlayer
    @TheDarkGTAPlayer 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    people talk about the DRZ400sm a lot. I was thinking about it too, just doesn't seem worth the money for the SM anyway. It is heavy and underpowered from the get go. Also even with all of its power mods its still not comparable. I hear it is their reliability that keeps them around. I see them for sale with over 20,000 Miles and they run great.

    • @user-we5yo2yo1f
      @user-we5yo2yo1f  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +OffRoadKingdom Heavy and underpowered? I guess its all relative to what you're comparing it to. We have a DRZ400SM in the shop and it feels light and nimble compared our Hypermotard 1100S. Sure the Hyper has way more power, but from a fun-factor standpoint, the DRZ is every bit as fun on a twisty road. We don't drag race these bikes... they're used for carving up back roads, and the DRZ, CRF, and WRR do just fine for that in my opinion. I think people get way too hung up on how much power a bike makes. Damn, we have a Grom here with 10hp and its a blast.

    Awesome videos man. I have been following your CRF videos since the beginning and I love what you guys are doing. I have finally saved enough money to get the bike and some upgrades. I plan on using it for light street use and more dirt (so your update 2 video would prob be better for me). But I had a question why did you get rid of the FNF Q4 and Powerbomb and go with the Yoshimura? Thanks, Drew.

    • @motosporttouring
      @motosporttouring 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use mine only for dirt now. Check out my vids. I got the Mega Bomb with Q4, 13T sprocket, and EJK from SRMoto and love it!! If you go that route, make sure to get wrap or a heat shield for the header or you will get the dreaded Mega Bomb burn on your pants!!!

    • @RDrewSpencer
      @RDrewSpencer 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, I am checking out your videos now! What wrap or heat shield did you get?

    • @motosporttouring
      @motosporttouring 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Drew Spencer
      It's just generic wrap. Moto parts hub has some. If you do a google search you will see a bunch of resluts. I'd rather go with wrap than a heat shield, personally. I like the look of the Mega Bomb and have seen some people put back the factory heat shield on the Mega Bomb and it doesn't look like you have a header on at all. Thanks for checking out my vids!

      We switched to the Yoshi when we converted the bike to a supermoto, just to try out the Yoshi and see how we like it. I've recently converted the bike back to a dual sport (temporarily) and we've put the FMF back on. Both are really nice exhaust systems for the bike.... I think for dual sport and off-road riding I prefer the FMF systems, but for strictly supermoto (and street use) I like the Yoshi.

    what kind of tires can I put on so that I dont have to reroute my break line or trim off the guards...? im not sure what all this supermoto krap is....seems to me like just a waste of money without really doing much that makes it any different than a duel sport.....I could saw my fron fender in half, put some handguards on and a rear sprocket and some 70?30 tires on mine and bammm.....Im a motosport guy.....not sure i get the concept here....just seems like you got more money to spend to make it pretty and comfortable instead of doing anything that makes it any different than a duel sport.....what am I missing here...??

    • @user-we5yo2yo1f
      @user-we5yo2yo1f  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eric Dealano Supermoto tires provide MUCH BETTER traction on the street than knobby tires... that's the main reason we prefer the supermoto setup for the street. Tires like our Bridgestone BT-003's provide an unbelievable amount of traction...way more than you'll get out of any knobby tire. We only put the dual sport wheels/tires on when we plan to ride off-road.

    • @halfbit

      +SRmotodotcom being that the paper part of the filter is far more restrictive than the screen I guess don't understand the logic.

      +Kevin T. I'm no expert on it, but our local race/dyno shop says they remove that screen off all bikes they do. I guess it can disrupt flow or something.

      @ApexIXMR 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SRmotodotcom oh damn. Didn't even watch this video to be honest. Saw a photo of the bike on the website from a side profile and thought it was on the tires. Honda 2015 250l 4400$ and full conversion 3500$ that's 7900$. With (17/16 - TO - 37/38/39/40) it will go over 100-110mph and quick. 4 stroke single bores are not going to go any faster 250-350-400 (all these are in same ball park) Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki doesn't matter what is "THOUGHT", it is the math and single bore 4 stroke all top out around 115max and BTW that's not what motos are made for. Supermotos are just fun, not death speeding and not super off road.

    • @humzilla707
      @humzilla707 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AboxoroxRoxursox ya no way a 250l is going 100 and the only thing stopping my ktm from going over 115 is gearing

      @user-we5yo2yo1f  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +humzilla707 690SMC's are great bikes, and we hope to have one someday. That being said, we have bikes here in the shop ranging from 10hp (Grom) all the way up to just over 100hp (FZ09 and Hyper 1100S), and sometimes the slower bikes are just as much fun to ride... it just depends on your mood. There's a saying "Its more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than to ride a fast bike slow". Bottom line... pretty much any bike can be fun to ride, and it has nothing to do with how much power it has or how fast it is.

      The Yoshi or FMF Q4 will be louder than stock, but IMHO they aren't annoyingly loud. The FMF PowerCore4 is louder. We have the Q4 on one of our bikes and the Yoshi on another. The increased performance is well worth the louder exhaust.

      I like both but the Yoshi looks nicer to mee. What do you think is better stock header with aftermarket muffler or header and muffler both aftermarket?

      With these bikes, I wouldn't even bother with just a slip-on muffler. Do the complete exhaust with EFI controller. That is what 99% of our customers do.

    nice but why a 250? 450s are way more functional when on the road

      +Grayson Majocha Honda doesn't make a 450 street legal dual sport, atleast yet. Neither does Yamaha. Suzuki makes a DRZ400S/SM, which is as close to that 450 you mentioned. 250's seem to be fine for some though... Honda is selling them like crazy.

      Id rather see a 450 dirt bike converted to a supermoto. You can buy things like the tusk signal light system to put on it, making it a bike more efficient on the road. Not saying that isn't a beautiful bike that would handle well on the road, i just think putting a little more money into a dirt bike conversion would be better. But i love the channel, beautiful bikes! Keep it up!

      +SRmotodotcom try the Yamaha wr450f or wr450sm, both are super awesome bikes. That being said, these 250s are still rad bikes

      focke wulf omg i didn't know you had to spend that much money for a supermoto. How much would it cost to convert a dirt bike into one?

    • @mtube620
      @mtube620 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      focke wulf don't forget the DRZ400sm is made in japan while the 250L is not. I can buy an used 400sm for < 4000 USD any day

      +focke wulf (vurger) And if you plan to mod the DRZ to a great degree might want to just step up to a smc690 (not sure if those are widely available in the usa) and get better everything, even a drz with every mod cannot match it, except maybe in reliability.

    • @user-we5yo2yo1f
      @user-we5yo2yo1f  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Mark K The SMC690 is no longer sold here in the USA. But yes, more power than a DRZ or CRF... but does that always mean its more fun? Not necessarily.

      The 250L and 300L are very popular for supermoto conversions. Not everybody needs to 40+ horsepower to have fun.
