That old commentary "slide rule pass" cliche was still alive and well. I was one of the last generation to use a slide rule circa 1974 (32 years before this game). A slide rule was probably accurate to 1 or maybe 2 decimal places, my hand held iPod is probably 30 decimal places. The morals of this video, slide rules were not that accurate (not even when describing football passes) and don't go to the moon using a slide rule for navigation calculations, you will fly off in to oblivion.
TRIVIA: can anyone name the other two players who got 20goals this year BESIDES the obv Berbatov w friggin FOUR in this one (i was there as a kid and its still the best live game ive seen)
I think Robbie Keane got the same number of goals that season. We scored a stupid number of goals that year, and really shared them around. Yet finished 11th. And won the League Cup! Berbatov though. Have you ever seen player with such good control receiving passes. That second goal in this game shows this, but he’d do it all game. I was gutted when he went to Man U.

Darren Bent was the 4th striker and he was decent player too. With the wingers like Malbranque and Lennon it was easy to score.
