    Just wanted to say I started watching your videos and I am hooked. I just like how simple you present your work and it’s so real. You are down to earth and say things the way it is. We are similar…I just finished building my little one storey project in my village and it was fun stressful….so watching your videos brings memories back and makes me smile because your joys and stress are some of what I experienced too😊 I will still do it again. Looking forward to my two storey building project

    Hello Flo, I just want to say thanks for sharing the progress of the your project with us, I have a question about the laundry room in your house, how is the laundry hookup like? Is it similar to what we have in the U.S? Please I would really appreciate it if you or someone else can help me understand this process. Thank you so much.

    • @FloFinance
      @FloFinance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean the electrical appliances? For ours there will be a washing machine. No dryer because it's harsh on fabrics. Then we will have a sink in there for hand-washing. Then some cupboards for the detergents and other laundry stuff. That's all. You will see it when it's done.

    • @FloFinance
      @FloFinance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. But you need rods for the edges of the walls and the lintels even for bungalows. And this one has front pillars and extended beam as well.

      It looks better and since there's a main house in the compound, it need to match it. Better for leveling of the compound. Else water won't be able to flow out from that side.

    • @FloFinance
      @FloFinance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@albarka1 you are talking about decking. The one you do before laying first floor blocks. Adding rods to a ground floor slab is unnecessary. There are rare cases where the foundation is not filled where you do the ground floor like decking. But not in this case. I suggest you watch my Sequence of Building a House video 👉👇

    Good day
    I send you email
    Its a pleasure to send you this message, I watch you so well on your TH-cam channel and am pleased with most all the videos I watched so far.
    I am planing to build 2 bedroom of 6 flats in ogun state.
    The survey of the 2 plot have been done and waiting for the surveyor outcome from the government and the same time the architect is already drawing the design which he said will be ready in 1st week of October.
    Main reason am writing is that can you get me a trusted person as I watched in your recent video to monitor the quality (Mason supervisor) and builder as you said to look after the building structure but I don't if the architect can do that because I didn't discuss that with him.
    Please you reply will be highly appreciated

    Lol...I thought BQ means Bill of quantities. Also in Kenya we say courses not coaches. We also first fill with hard-core rocks before adding murram to ensure a tough floor. Here I see you are just adding murram alone.

    • @arinzemichael6401
      @arinzemichael6401 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on the type of soil you are building on

    • @FloFinance
      @FloFinance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Courses vs coaches. I am following what the builders call it in Nigeria. For them, a course is more like a parapet, continuous concrete. Hardcore is for when we are building in swampy areas like in Lagos, Nigeria. And in that case we will do the raft foundation rather than blocks.
